How much credit card debt do you carry right now?

Personally, I'm only at about $3,000. But I pay it down to $0 pretty much everymonth.

Yngwie 07-07-2007 04:48 PM

about $10 000 which will get paid off in the next 3 months

shermo 07-07-2007 04:54 PM

Only around $200. But they keep charging $6 daily for every day I can't pay it off.

Sly 07-07-2007 06:09 PM

I charge and then pay off. Simple. Supposedly good for the credit, too.

I have a few cards but I always pay them off every month or if it's anything big I pay it in 2 or 3 months max. Right now I have like $200 maybe $300 on one card because I just paid a bill with the CC rather than my debit card, due to the fact I had to cancel my debit card because of fraud.

potter 07-07-2007 07:51 PM

I've got about 1,700 I think right now. Total "debts" though for my car/loans is about 16,800.

Slick 07-07-2007 08:06 PM

I have $8k in credit between 3 cards, but I usually just charge up a couple hundred on each card and pay it off at the end of the month, just so they're being used to help keep my credit score going up :)

PersianKitty 07-07-2007 08:09 PM

I have a negative balance on one card because of a refund for plan tickets I purchased and paid for. I have a couple of store cards that are used specifically for discounts on certain sales and for certificates back as a percentage of purchases but those get paid of each month. House is paid for in full as of 2001 (did that in 4 years), pay cash for vehicles. Have a home equity line of credit set up in case I ever need it since I don't have an active homeloan to keep my credit history rolling.

Other than that.. I live by cash and my Visa debit card. It I can't pay for it, I don't need it.

$5 submissions 07-07-2007 08:14 PM

NONE. And I plan to keep it that way. I only use debt, if at all, when it comes to business expansion/working capital.

Damn... Mind telling us who your credit card company is?

If you are paying $180 a month on a 200 Dollar debt then I'd say that you need to pop downstairs and ask momma for a loan. Surely HER terms would be better than this, right? :2 cents:

globofun 07-07-2007 08:57 PM

I only spend on my cards online for content, domain and PayPal (for other stuff) , and to accumulate points......and I pay the whole thing at the end of the month! :)

Keeping a balance on credit card is the worst mistake you can make..............trust me, been there, done that!
