Do banners with audio turn you off?
 

Not even talking adult banners specifically as there are a lot of mainstream pops and banners that do this as well.

there was one full screen pop and it goes "congratulations you just won a iPod"...that one pisses me off when i have the speakers turned up

Yes. I make it a point to not visit sites that have banners with audio. Banners with audio when you mouse over them are a little better, but I still hate those too. Especially if you have your audio turned up and don't realize it until you mouse over a banner.

I hate them because I usually have my Winamp mp3 player open with pretty high volume.

That iPod one pisses me off all the time. I think most auto sound banners suck. Give me a choice like most others.

and there is one from Red orbit that is a news channel that's full size...very annoying!

they upset me.. especially when I am listening to tunes loud.. and then they jump in and scare the shit out of me.. it only gets my attention not to do business with a company that is inconsiderate..

I hate the Duke one that we have here, fucking drives me crazy, gotta reach for that mute button all the time... plus it goes on forever!

Most quality banners have a button to turn the audio on, those don't bother me, some I click to hear what they say. Only ghetto desperate for attention banners have it set on auto or mouse-over.

i won't do business with any company that uses default audio enabled banners.
if they show that they care so little for your needs and have such little respect for you up front i think thats a good indication of how you'll be treated down the road.
