Our office used to be in Venice Beach and when I ran into Hollywood it would be hot as hell 100+...on my way back I'd watch the temp on my side mirror drop anywhere from 10-15 degrees.

But even then you've got that nice ocean breeze that keeps you cool...I never needed an AC in Venice, the marina, or redondo 3 of the places I lived while out there.
