FACT: You have a 2 year window to max your biz.
I'm saying this for the average person; not the ultra successful.
Explanation: Many of us will have a period where we are "HOT" but that period alone will not make us rich before it starts to slow down. If we don't make a move during the hot period then we will see all the "big" dreams go down the tubes as our biz gets slower and slower. This hot period could come immediately or it could come after years of working in the biz. So, if you're hot right now then you need to "make a move"; if you're not hot then maybe you can hang in there until it happens and then "make a move". I say if you are not hot in 2 years after becoming fully operational then move on if you want to be rich. The chances of "getting hot" are slim to none at that point. BIG BOYS know this: Watch how the big players make a move like buying another company right when it seems they don't need to. IE. Google/youtube. Even going into dept when they finally got into the green. The thinking is "we've got the most money we'll ever have so if we don't make a move now then we won't be able to make the move later because the hotness will not last". So if you're hot right now then make a FUCKING MOVE!!! Or you will simply fade away living off your savings to join that big pile of online players that used to be somebody. |
Good advice. Nothing lasts forever, one of the most important parts of running a business is constantly evolving and expanding to make sure you're around for the long term.

lots of views but only one reply.
Guess there's not much to argue about on this one. |
This is old stuff..
XBiz "Gold Days" are gone since 2001-2002... Nowadays it's like a normal job, that pays better than a normal job.. But excluiding some mafia guys that did some "suspecting deals" (people who became millionaire and bought 10 ferraris showing them in this forum)... nobody will become rich if he starts working in xbiz these days... It will continue being a good pay job for decades... I remember in 2001, people said that we had 2 o 3 more years of this biz.. and we are in 2007 and still doing money with it... But anyway.. if you want to make big cash, there are other ways, like investing, real statement, forex, stocks, etc etc etc... |

You start a pay site and do $200,000 in sales the first year and about the same the next year. You are hot...not on fire but that's fucking hot. At this point most people will simply try to milk this out instead of making a move. They will probably add some more sites and start a "something-cash.com" and think things are going to only get bigger. But they do $175k the next year, then $110k the next, then $75k , then $30k and then they are fucked. They needed to make a move after the second year and this is the part that is not old and will continue to happen. |
That is not totally true. You can ride on top as long as you can change with the times and meet the demand for your product(s).

I'd like to add another thing. Don't let your former businesses get affected by your moves into new businesses. Its happening with me all the time. :( Whenever I start working on some new idea, my previous thing get affected. Someone got a tip for that please? |
