epassporte wtf!
 
So I go log into my epassporte account to discover it was suspended for lack of transactions. I had no notice and have not been getting sponsor payments due to this. I called in and the rep told me to make a new account. Now this is fine and all but im not sure she realizes now I have to go and change my info with 100s of sponsors. Im thinking ill quit using epassporte, anyone else deal with something like this? The work its going to take me managing all my payout info is going to take a whole day. FUCK.

yeah I hope ePassporte gets soon replaced with some service whose risk department really knows how to deal with fraud instead of suspending accounts on a random basis :2 cents:

When you signed up for Epassporte you agreed on the terms they would shut it down if it wasent active. You didetn use it, you dident earn money - period.

Just because it's written somewhere in small print on page 24 of the terms and conditions doesn't make it right.... what exactly is the reason for shutting down an inactive account? It makes some sense to perhaps shut down an account that wasn't used in 2 years, but come on a few months?

No money was deposited, he never loged in, he agreed on the terms. I dont see they did anything wrong.

Just so everyone is clear on the rules.
If the virtual card fee is due and not paid the account is closed 3 months later.
Any time during those 3 months if the account has a balance greater than $5 the fee will be deducted automatically.

i log in every few weeks to check my status. Yes I have an account and its connected to 100+ sponsors that trickle in sales but at the moment I really only push 2-3 main sponsors and I go for a wire or check from those. Maybe some of the assholes in this thread dont realize that some people use epass, checks, AND wire. Regardless if I make 5 bucks or 5000 from sponsors i dont heavily promote I still want my money and epass is a simple way to get it. I still get plenty of sponsors sign ups from my previous efforts and quickly remove the money because I dont trust it sitting in epass thats why I keep my account at 0...

I contacted their support line before posting and then Michael posted in this thread. If you feel like checking yourself there is not an icq contact listed in the contact page at epassporte. Michael is great with following up on threads but im fairly sure hes merely the clean up crew for when people bitch on message boards about their service because his icq isnt listed on the site (unless im over looking it in the fine print). Not trying to rag on him because he was much more helpful then the person answering the phones, in fact he could probably handle all trouble support better then the call center i talked to.

Your totally right, I didnt read the fine print and Ill own up and say it is my fault. I have to correct you though I never had a negative balance, it was just at 0 because I clear out funds. Michael does a great job cleaning up after epassporte. My only real complaint is that if the fee is due for the card and there arent funds in the account an email would be nice OR epassporte could send an automated message via their message system. I mean they have an internal email system it seems like it make since to use it for purposes like this. Most credit cards send you a bill if you have fees to keep it open which makes sense since it seems it would be a hassle to close accounts and then have to reopen them when they could just send you a notice. Oh well I should have researched the dozens of other epassporte posts, gone directly to Michael and not started this post. I think epassporte should save people the hassle and have his contact info on their page :helpme
