Kobayashi Questionable with Jaw-thritis
Kobayashi, the current record-holding six time consecutive champion of the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Championship, is questionable for today's competition due to a condition described as "jaw-thritis."
His participation will be a lunchtime decision.
Challenger Joey Chestnut, best known as a chicken wing eating specialist who recently downed 59 1/2 hot dogs in 12 minutes at the Southwest Regional Hot Dog Eating Championship, has been installed by Las Veags odds makers as the prohibitive favorite to end Kobayashi's record run as holder of the champion's mustard yellow belt at Nathan's contest.
