yeah and I have parallel installs but I haven't used a single windows app, but I might have to use ICQ on the windows side. there is nothing comparable on the mac

I use adium love it

I love adium, Fire is ok to their is also something called proteus. Haven't used that in a while though.

Adium is the best out of Fire and Proteus.

Other apps you MUST have for a new Mac user:

Quicksilver - first thing I ever install
Camino - moz based browser esp for macs
MenuMeters - shows all sorts of stats (bandwidth, ram cpu loads etc).
