I remember Fran Tarkenton and Cathy Lee Crosby on that show, and they had an episode where they put cameras in a haunted toy store and supposedly caught a ghost opening doors, turning lights on and off, turning the bathroom sinks on and off, and dropping toys off shelves. Scared the shit out of me as a kid...

eroswebmaster 07-03-2007 11:05 PM

I remember watching both in the 70's. I remember seeing a 3 year old Tiger Woods on That's Incredible and wondered if he actually go anywhere in golf.

I watched that show. I remember one time they did a story about a black kid that was missing half his head. Behind his face it was just all scooped out and I couldn't believe the kid was walking around. They built him a prosthetic cover so he would feel more normal. It really was incredible.

I remember seeing a picture of Cathy Lee Crosby in a swimsuit back then in the enquirer or people or something and thinking she was the hottest girl I had seen, leggy and really hot.

Iron Fist 07-04-2007 12:29 AM

That show was awesome :) Next came Ripleys Believe it or Not!

yeah I used to watch all of those shows, (That's Incredible, Real People, and Ripleys Believe it or Not!), weekly when I was a kid. Then when I was in San Francisco when I was 13 or 14 I got to go and see the Ripleys Believe it or Not! museum. I got a real kick out of that. All that I really remember from the museum was this shrunken head, some goat with like 10 legs and 2 heads or some shit like that, and some of the torture devices like the "iron maiden" all pretty cool I thought.

That's one that I don't remember, what was it about? and what was the time period in which it aired?

When I watched it, it was usually on Saturday afternoons. David Horowitz was a consumer affairs reporter for I think NBC...anyway you could mail him and he would "fight back" for you against corrupt companies.

He would also challenge commercials that would air. One I remember was a dish washing soap company that washed a crystal chandelier and said there were no spots afterwards. They would recreate every aspect of the commercial on their show to see if the claims held up.

I think a show like that in this day of reality television would make for good and interesting t.v.

eroswebmaster 07-04-2007 01:28 AM

Hmm...David is still at it.
