Ever heard of quantity in numbers? Lets take a look see at the rise and fall of traffic prices. The average joe blow cant afford a top ranking gallery spot with the hun. Lets just say the gallery spots costs 500 for 3 days of top placement. In order for webmaster to make money he or she has to make that money back. From almost ever webmaster I have spoken with of course the click throughs are good but the sales are far and few (between 5 and 12 sales). Now u have just munched up a lot of bandwith and the money from the inital investment you didn't make back.

I'm probably a little bit of both but I'm definitely a money maker. Unlike you I dont need to try to sell my traffic off in blocks or gallery spaces to breake even or even have a coalition of sites to broker with. I buy tons of traffic to my sites daily from QUALITY people where the traffic is already filtered down and I KNOW I will have surfers with proven credit cards. Without your big TGP trades you are nothing,usless as a 3 day old condom. I dont know about you but I would rather like listing my own galleries to make MYSELF more money instead of pushing my traffic off on somebody who's wacking off to your ranking on sextracker

question is, would u rather have a large number of free site traffic or pay site traffic? Most people dont even know that paysite traffic is even offered by some people.Free will get you big quantities and pay will get u results.. And with this I rest my case

The original plan of TGP's are to give the surfer a quick looksee and entice them to sign up and also a traffic pump to paysites (at least in my opinion). Free porn isn't killing our industry. There are lots of things making it harder to make money in our industry, but nothing is killing it. It's just not as easy as slapping up 8 pics, 2 banners and waiting and at the mailbox for the checks anymore. :)

I could write a really long explanation of all kinds of stuff, but I'm not going to...I don't think anyone would understand it,and I know it wouldn't change anyone's mind about anything...Just suffice it to say the free market is working according to it's textbook model.

Its not the free porn that is killing the pay sites. Its the free hardcore porn.

If we could somehow stop free sites from offering hardcore then the surfers would have to join the pay sites and everyone would make twice the money

Every since the TGP model showed up people have run with their own variations of it which has in turn ended up giving the "webmaster" more control over what they feel like works. The big money making days of low SE traffic and slapping up a couple of terra.es pagesa re done. People are dropping out daily because they dont have the patience and marketing skills to survive in this game. I came in fully understanding the state of our union and willing to adapt and change just like the surfer.

Sleazy's point of differentiation is that he doesn't generally sell porn sites on his pages but pushes Adult Friend Finder or ohter adult-related but non porn services. This is really no different than the free hosts that use headers and footers selling penis pills or other adult-related products/services. This is one approach--use TGP traffic but use nonstandard sponsors.

Another approach is focus on specialized traffic, as you noted above.

A third approach, Labret's, is to focus on specialized niche categories.

A fourth is to use variations of the AVS model, as quiet hinted at at earlier threads

A fifth is to use software to qualify leads, as I do.

Approaches come and go as porn evolves on the Net. Free Porn will always be here and will keep expanding. I can understand when people wonder aloud if free porn "kills" the biz. It seems intuitive if look at the issue broadly. But if you look at what's happening to the biz closely you would see that its more nuanced than the simple calculation of supply vs. demand since both supply and demand have many nooks and crannies you can mine to make a good living.

Nothing is killing our industry. The herd is being thinned. Porn as an industry total, makes as much money as ever...how can that be dying?

The slow, stupid, and weak are being culled...the people who can think for themselves are finding new ways to make money in an everchanging market. That's all that's happening. No dying, no killing, no industry crash.

Instead of fighting tooth and nail to return to the glory days of 1997, people should be looking around, seeing how things actually work nowadays, and finding a way to profit from it. Sitting around wishing for yesteryear is a waste of time.

When I mean Killing our industry I mean not making as much as our traffic fully allows us to.I wnat to make more money and not less money and this should be every webmasters goal (and an occasional surfer thanking you for giving him the courage to screw his wife again) In this game its about staying ahead of the curve and changing within the confines of your own niche or site direction
