This is sad and disgusting

What the hell has happened to today's youth?

HOUSTON - David Ritcheson hated being known as "that kid" ? the teenager who was beaten unconscious and sodomized with a plastic pole during a party where one of his assailants shouted "White Power!" Ritcheson didn't want to stand out from his classmates because of the assault, but he acknowledged in an interview that "it was just really hard to hold your head up, even to walk outside with everyone almost in the world knowing what happened." That anguish may have contributed to his decision to leap Sunday from a cruise ship to his death in the Gulf of Mexico.

BoyAlley 07-02-2007 10:01 PM

Rochard 07-02-2007 10:07 PM

If that shit happened to me I'd be walking around with a plastic pole myself looking for some payback.

Spunky 07-02-2007 10:09 PM

A tragedy,a shame kids have to go to the extreme like that..would fuck anybody up ..he did make a pass at somebodies 12 year old sister but he didn't deserve such a horrific beating

thehand 07-02-2007 10:12 PM

No it's not. Its exactly the same, we just have more media outlets reporting the same drivel over and over and over again, that it SEEMS worse. You know, it sad that kid couldn't go on.

I think kids have it WAY easier than we did when we were growing up on most levels. The schools and programs give kids an out and a way to steer clear of drugs, alcohol, gang activity etc. When I was a kid, either you rolled with the 'cool crowd' or got your ass kicked.
Easier or more difficult...it sure is different.

Regardless...poor kid man, no one deserves to endure shit like that.

zeruel 07-02-2007 11:26 PM

kids in this generation is really different from the kids before... things are getting worst... that's really sad... :(

D 07-02-2007 11:28 PM

That's very sad.

V_RocKs 07-02-2007 11:33 PM

This is why guns are a good thing... Imagine if he could have felt a certain amount of liberation when he shot those assholes in broad daylight in the city square. Everyone knowing that fucking with "that kid" is gonna get you a bullet in the head.

That would be justice!

pornguy 07-02-2007 11:50 PM

The truly sad thing is, that most likely little to nothing happened to the kids that did that to him.

"Two men were convicted of aggravated sexual assault in the attack. David Henry Tuck, then 18, was sentenced to life in prison. Keith Robert Turner, then 17, was sentenced to 90 years in prison. Both must serve at least 30 years before being eligible for parole."

Anyone who knocks someone unconscious and sodomises him with a pole is insecure to a point where he becomes a menace to himself and society. Kids today seem to have more opportunities, options and help with every aspect of growing up, school, etc and yet they are more fucked than ever.

Sad.

Bods4Mods 07-03-2007 01:45 AM

such useless hate

In this instance it's not today's youth that is the problem - it's a hate-filled weirdo adult with a plastic pole who choses to beat up and sodomize the lad. Damned sicko society...

I'd argue that point with ya :-) Dump guns on the public and the same sicko who assaulted the kid would also have a gun.

Well... they already do have guns...

HouseHead 07-03-2007 02:03 AM

Thats a damn shame

Matt 26z 07-03-2007 02:51 AM

"According to testimony, the attack was triggered by Ritcheson's drunken pass at another teen's 12-year-old sister."

Just as well. Sounds like he was a pedo in the making.

VS_Eddie 07-03-2007 09:36 AM

I seriously can't believe how cruel kids these days can be. This is just disgusting to hear, I hope those other kids rot in jail and get big poles shoved up their ass.

CosmicTang 07-03-2007 09:43 AM

Well two white kids who brutalized a Latino are going to have big targets on their chests in prison. They'll also be officers in the local prison chapter of the Aryan Brotherhood.

That said, the kid didn't deserve what he got, but he DID try to kiss a 12-year old. If some 16 yo kid tried to kiss a 12 yo I might want to kick his ass too.

Simon IA Cash 07-03-2007 10:12 AM

I wouldn't get suicidal, I don't think, but if I was planning to end my life anyway, I'd aim for some revenge first, at least.

Violetta 07-03-2007 11:47 AM

shit... that is sad!

Bullshit. I'm 40, when I was a kid the worst thing you saw in elementary school was a kid chewing gum and the occasional fight behind the jungle gym after school.

Jr. High, pretty much the same thign.

High School, maybe a kid got caught with a knife.

Now days, schools that were upper middle class in my hometown are now ran over by gangs...you can't hardly find a public school in any town that does not have a gang issue.

Guns are now being brought to school and being used.

Most kids that were in trouble back in the day were smoking pot, then you go back to around 97 98 and kids in upper middle class neighborhoods outside of Dallas were dying from heroin OD's.

So don't give me this shit that things have not changed, or gotten worse...they have.

He was 16, and she was 12, and not every girl out there looks her age. I don't know the whole story, and neither do you. I have not seen a picture of the girl who was 12, and until I do I'll reserve judgment.

If she looked 14 -15 and he thought that's how old she was...that would be within an acceptable age range for a 16 year old kid.

Scott McD 07-03-2007 11:57 AM

Fucked up. What a waste of a life... :(

tranza 07-03-2007 11:57 AM
