It was amusing in that particular speech the fact that even though I know some German I could understand all he meant even though he didn't say anything in German...or English for that matter.

But the opinions about the movie are divided, I find it rather amusing, but again I have a history diploma and a weird sense of humor...so perhaps you're right and it's not that funny..
