fido is full of retards
About a year and a half ago i signed up for a cell phone with fido, bought the phone straight out and took no contract or anything.
I tried canceling it today, and apparently according to their computer im on a contract and have to pay a $140 cancellation fee. So i ask them if they have this signed contract, they said no. I asked them if the kiosk i got the phoen from has this signed contract, they said no. Basically the only thing saying im under agreement is a prompt on their computer, which is incorrect. I asked to speak to a manager, I have to wait 48 hours for one to phone me back. I would rather get this sorted out, but basically they have nothing right? If they try to send this to collections, i can just ask for proof of the debt, at which point this supposed "verbal agreement" as the fido lady put it be unenforcable? |
Fido is shady as hell... I had a phone with them once upon a time but my minutes/charges kept going up every month consecutively, despite my actual usage of it going down.
They had no answers for me either. So I canceled. I don't remember having trouble canceling though, but I know I'd never recommend anyone ever use them. |
fido sucks ass. I've always hated them since I had a plan back 7 or 8 years ago. Worst customer service ever, and god awful products.
I'd say tell em to fuck themselves. |
Yeah, they're the worst. I've never heard anything but horror stories about Fido.

Yeah fido sux ass. The only reason I am still with them is because I have an unlimited usage plan and so far no other mobile company offers this. It is grandfathered so they are no longer offering this plan to new users. Once one of the other mobile companies comes out with a better plan I will probably switch.
