OFFSHORE BANKING in Belize.... - question
Hello guys,
I'm looking for an offshore bank. I want a personal bank account with full internet banking and a debit/credit card attached to my account. Someone told me Belize is a good option. I wonder if any of you used one of the following banks perhaps? belizebank.com firstcaribbean.com scotiabank.com atlanticibl.com providentbelize.com any input appreciated :pimp |
Been recommended Provident before -- wouldn't deal with scotiabank or first caribbean (which is Barclay's + CIBC) though, they're Canadian-owned.

PS... Just noticed the "personal account" thing - it may be better having a company associated with the bank account. |

Why do you need an offshore bank?
Will an offshore bank really provide what you seek? |

Everyone is different and there can be many reasons for OS banking - it's also not a subject which needs explaining to anyone on a chat board since that usually involves disclosing biz background/activity. It also does not necessarily have anything to do with taxes :winkwink: PS BTW - How much money you got in your bank account?? *lol* |
keep in mind, if you are a us citizen, having a foreign bank account MUST be disclosed on your 1040, and if you do not, you are committing fraud. If you do disclose a foreign account, you are MUCH more likely to get an audit.
