i have a small, 10 inch tv, to the right of my monitor, constantly turned on...
cant say i 'watch' it... but its there in the background and has been every day for the last 4 years..

sometimes something important on, i'll leave it on, otherwise it's off

no never. I try n take a break from the computer at least every hour, which is usually 5-10mins sat in the living room with the tv on, or in the garden.

While im working its simply itunes on 20% volume. Or if im working with any code, it has to be classical/opera to help me focus :)

not a chance. I keep some rock playing in the background for tempo, TV is way too distracting.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I used to work with the TV on constantly, but I find I concentrate better and I am more productive without it on. So if the TV is on, it is more like surfing for ideas time rather than actually doing something.

no... i think its disturbing and it was ruined my concentration....i need to be more focus on everything that i do..it's also wasting my time..television is good if you don't have anything to do, just for relaxing and bonding time with your family and friends..

I do the same. If I have anything on its gotta be music. Its gotta be low volume and it has to be instrumental (mostly movie soundtracks). Anything else is distracting...
