ICQ dropping messages?

Yep, here too.
People think I am toying with them.
It's especially difficult when money was just mentioned, and then the responding message is dropped.
It's like those cingular commercials.

yes pissing me off big time .... also if i am idle for a while it errors out and i dont know it but in icon below it still shows im online

Exactly, I don't understand why the industry standard is STILL icq. it fucking blows, and i have no clue why anyone would trust in the service, it blows. Even msn provides a better instant messenging service than icq...

People just say they missed it when they are snubbing you.

it happened to me many many times.
I tried chatting with a co-worker just a few meters away from me and I saw it happened.
the message just didn't appear at his computer - swear to god.
we both saw it happen - no way I'm imagining it.

and that's why I use sofrware like gaim or trillian - just to try to chat with the same person in AIM or YIM or MSN after others failed.

I've had it happen a few times recently...my biggest problem is using miranda and talking to people on the 'actual' icq client, that shit errors like mad. :/

Haven't had much trouble with ICQ since switching from Trillian back to the standalone client.

It's been problematic for fucking years though... I much prefer AIM or MSN for important conversations...
