So I'm sitting at a traffic light with my daughter on the way to buy her a video game when the guy in front of me puts his truck into reverse, steps on the gas and backs right into my car and then takes off.

I give chase while talking to the police and they catch up to us and pull the guy over. Seems he was having a diabetic seizure and wasn't even aware he'd hit me.

Car is a 2004 with only 14,000 miles on it too - now it's leaking all kinds of engine fluids.

Only my car was parked, and the neighbor made short work of the passenger side of my car...

Now it is his insurance, and the body shop's problem...

that sucks...

You can't be pissed at a guy for having a seizure.. Be pissed at him for getting behind the wheel of a car if he knows he could have seizures. And be pissed at the laws for allowing someone who has seizures to drive.

It sucks, but let the insurance worry about it and move on. Be thankful nothing happened to your daughter.

I couldnt drive for 4 years when I had a seizure... This dudes license is gone, feel bad for him rather than mad at him.... I had to goto a court hearing to get my license back..

I'll be in a rental but I already have a few dates in July set aside just for that!

I'd kill the fucker..
No way I'd be able to control my anger at that point.

I don't consider it a dangerous scenario when keeping pace with him didn't require going faster than 40 MPH. We were going through downtown Redmond in lunch hour traffic. He was having a diabetic seizure and wasn't aware he'd hit me - much less aware I was actually following him.

At the time, I certainly didn't know that, but I did wonder why he wasn't in any hurry to get away.

What sucks is, that the insurance company may not have to pay. If the guy got the policy under false pretenses, ( No Illness ) then it may be void, and depending on the state, the Insurance company may not have to pay, and you may have to go after him personally..

It gets really bad at night when the homeless folks drag out their 55 gallon barrels and light fires to keep warm and roast hot dogs out on the front lawn.

If it weren't for the fact that I live pretty close to the Microsoft campus and the generosity of Bill Gates tossing money out his window on his way to work so those darn vagrants have some money to get liquored up with - those scoundrels would be out all day!
