Anyway, it's Monday, crap is normally on during that time, and my two boys seem to enjoy it. While the results of the fight and and the hits/throws are designed to not kill a person, they still get rather beat up, really hurt, and those moves would still hurt.

I don't care how you are, getting slapped across the chest or punched in the head, or even toss at the speeds they get tossed at, would hurt like hell.

movies/films are made to alter the viewers reality for 2 hours....& masters of film & special effects are employed to do that

Many larger cities have underground fight clubs. Often costs to get in and/or sponsor someone. Some allow bets.. I'm trying to hunt down more info on the cities I visit, very hard to find info.

I would pay to see real fights, not this wfc bs with rules, no knee drop crap. Real fights.

we've got underground ufc matchs all over the east coast

usually near military cities (i.e. norfolk, fayetteville, & any city that starts with "fort")

how is the entertainment factor of movies any different than that of pro wrestling? Isn't that exactly what wrestling does? Provide entertainment for 2-3 hours? In this day and age, outside of smaller kids and a few hillbillies, everyone knows everything is predetermined, but I hate when people use the word "fake". It's not more or less fake than Sylvester Stallone pretending to be a 60 year old boxer...

I hear AZ has a big one, I also heard it's sponsor invite only :/ So not having much luck. With the military bases here though, maybe that is what is bringing it here.

they usually stick with ufc rules, from what i've seen....most of them are guys actually in training for ufc

I like the WWE. I watch it because the munchkin watches it, just like the oldest one did in his day. Matter of fact, the more I watch it, the more of an appreciation I have for the men and women who do it. Most of them are incredibly athletic, and the high flyers like Jeff Hardy are phenomenal to see.

Scripted? Of course. But it's still big fun to watch.

With all the shit on TV and in movie theatres you decide to pick on those who watching wrestling?

I can think of a lot more questionable entertainment deserving of the same question ...

I used to watch it when it was just WWF.. not WWE.. and when it was Raw IS War.. is was entertaining back then.. now it just sucks.. the dialogue is lame.. the story is fucking stupid.. since stone cold doesn't even wrestle on there anymore.. there's no one to run around and kick everyone's ass or cause controversy every night.. and Controversy creates cash :)

It just sucks now.. it's fucking horrible actually.. my room mate watches it EVERY monday.. I don't know why.. I really can't stand it anymore.. fuck.. bring Stone Cold Back.. fire every single one of the writers and hire new ones.

I'll admit that I still watch wrestling, however, I usually don't watch many of the matches, I just scroll through them and get to the storylines. I have to say that wrestling has REALLY gone downhill over the last few years.

I agree with Twisted, sometimes there's stuff on wrestling that's priceless, ESPECIALLY when "The Rock" was around. Check out these clips of him with Hurricane Helmsly. Wrestling fan or not, you have to admit, they're hilarious :)

i stopped watching it when the entertaining guys stopped working it, like the Rock and Stone Cold...they both had some pretty entertaining bits...

Look, if you do a scan of the audience at a wrestling show, it's a pretty scary site. I mean the trailer park must be completely empty when the WWE comes to town ... but you can also say that about NASCAR, monster truck rallies and so many other "sports".

It's brain-dead entertainment that at times can be really, really stupid and embarrassing but it can also be incredibly hilarious, exciting and emotional (anyone who was watching Benoit win at WM20 knows what I mean about real emotion)
