a WELLTUNED 350hp sx200, Lancer, Impreza, rx7 or other small car would outrun a Corvette any day.

We have a old Opel Ascona with a 4 cyl 318hp engine, last week here in sweden we outran a MB AMG SL55, several Corvette C6, two Ferrari 360. But we did get beaten by other cars. The Ferrari 430 and the koenigsegg + most the skylines and supra's kicked our ass

i thought posession was 9 10th's of the law and if you can prove you paid for it, its legal? i know that sounds naive, but a friend got caught with a stolen bike, he showed he paid for it and was allowed to keep it.

i wholeheartedly agree that they should do this to the cars of drunk drivers though.

the worst is when they soup it up and then dont put good tires on it, roll the car around a corner and kill one of your friends inside.

thing i hate about tuner cars, especially japanese for the most part, no matter how much you crank out of them, they always feel flimsy and weak against the road at speed.

not saying they won't go fast, i just never feel as comfortable when compared to cruisin around in a car built to go fast from the beginning.

it all depends on how you build it. put a good suspension in it, and a few other odds and ends to increse rigidity and it can feel quite nice.

or you could just skip the honda and go straight to an Evo or STi and not have to worry about adding stiffness. ;)

Crushing the cars is a waste. Auction off the parts. But coming down hard on street racers is a good thing. Racers kill people. Doing 160mph on 50 mph speed limit roads is stupid. If they really want to race there has to be a better way to do it, like renting out a venue. Yeah, it costs money but these are the type of guys that spend their life savings customizing their rides anyway.

If they can afford $10k in mods, they can afford Ontario.

And ALSO for stupid kids in overpowered cars thinking the streets are for racing.

A modified shit box is just a modified shit box. Throw an ATI self contained super charger or a twin turbo set up on a Z06, and that's the end of the shit boxes.

personally, I think vettes are shit boxes since I like luxury cars. So a turbo on a vette (especially Z06) would make it a very, VERY fast shit box :)

You can't just slap on 2 turbos on a vette engine and call it a day.

There's aftermarket twin turbo kits for vettes and then you tune it. Yay.

The ATI kits you can pretty much slap on.

Supras don't count int he shit box class, because at least they're real sportscars as opposed to grocery getters suped up. :2 cents:

Uh which ones? Unless they have low boost it's gonna be pretty easy to blow a stock block... unless it was a newer vette since those engines are more reinforced.
