Shit, I'm just a white boy. My wife is a translator for the government, she is the one that translated that.

She is Columbian/Italian. She probably doesn't do slang very well. She speaks very proper, has to in her translations.

1- If you start the sentence with something like "Pidale"
you´re inplying that you´re talking to the person in
a formal way, and the sentence should be something like
"Pidale la tarjeta de credito a su padre y suscribase"

2 - You never use "y" and then use a word that starts with an "i"

Is not slang, is just common knowlegde in spanish.

BTW, your wife is from Columbia or from Colombia?

She translates medical documents. She actually moved to the United States when she was very young and never formally finished her education in her home country so maybe her spanish is not too gramatically advanced. I know she had to do a LOT of studying to learn to translate medical terminology.
