wikipedia reported Benoit's wife death hours before body was found

freaky, what do you think happened?

ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) -- Investigators are looking into who altered pro wrestler Chris Benoit's Wikipedia entry to mention his wife's death hours before authorities discovered the bodies of the couple and their 7-year-old son.

Benoit's Wikipedia entry was altered early Monday to say that the wrestler had missed a match two days earlier because of his wife's death.

A Wikipedia official, Cary Bass, said Thursday that the entry was made by someone using an Internet protocol address registered in Stamford, Connecticut, where World Wrestling Entertainment is based.

If you just got through killing your wife and kid, it's not like you have a lot left to do. He was probably bored.

It just says the same city, not in the office. Unless you got that from somewhere else?

I guess it was just a coincidence?

Whats strange is it was also edited before he sent the text messages to the wwe from his cell.

Rochard 06-28-2007 11:18 PM

Chances are it was a fourteen year old fan posting from his mother's basement, and he was posting something he heard wrong or made up.

My lord.... you guys all need tin hats.

and i guess the police investigating it need tinfoil hats ?

you dont think its a tad strange someone reported his wife dead 14 hours before the bodies were even found (i.e. before ANYONE knew she had died ? )

not saying its impossible but seems very very very coincidental ..

i dont think he is guilty of any of it. i think they were all murdered by someone else, perhaps someone at wwe.

I think it is a tad strange. Apparently someone knew she was dead. But that is strange to have a 14 hour lag after someone knew and before she was technically discovered.
