Business Scenario: You Own The WWE..what do you do?
Ok, let's say you own the WWE
One of your star wrestlers is involved ina double murder-suicide You did a tribute to him almost the time, the truth was breaking Your revenues are declining and you don't *quite8 have that explosive star that goes beyond the sport like a Hogan, Austin, The Rock, etc. when they became bigger than wrestling itself. You're facing stiff PPV competition from UFC and fighting sports... You've already had a major federal investigation regarding steroids and now they *might* have been a factor in the tragedy. What do you do? How do you right the ship? Put yourself in Vince McMahon's shoes and what do you do to keep your company from going belly up while keeping old fans and getting new fans? Let's hear some business ideas from the peanut gallery here... get creative....I'd like to see what the business minds here would do... |
more bra and panties matches....

SELL!

Turn away a little bit from the soap opera "death threat" "vince is dead" horseshit storylines that nobody or their dog will swallow, and get back to being about sports entertainment, rivalries, and the quest for championships.
WWE lost way too many of it's fans when it stopped caring about putting a good product in the ring. They fucked up the basics, and all the rest is just decoration. Essentially, Vince went too far, and it is starting to show. Too many dead wrestlers in the last few years. |
wwe is fake and lame.
|
bring back the hulkster
|
Mike Tyson.
And the bra panties matches. But not at the same time of course lol |
I heard about that today too, really sad considering he was a great wrestler but I havent watched wwe in years because it just got boring and fake

Oh, and one other thing ... WWE has never lied about its wrestling being a sports entertainment and not real. It's a live soap opera, and it has always been that. I for one LOVE the storylines etc ... I just wish I could watch it... as I don't have TV here :) hehe |
What you do is...sell to anyone willing to buy that lame shit and go live off the millions/billions you have made off of retarded folks, dumbass grown men, and little children that don't know any better. And at the end of the day not give a shit about the Wrastlin' Soap Opera because it is lame.

There really is nothing that he needs to do to right the ship. The sad thing is this incident will be forgotten by all but the most hardcore wrestling fans in a few months or less. The is nothing anyone is going to be able to do about steroids in wrestling that the US Government didn't already try and do in 1994 and failed at.
While wrestling may not be at the popularity height it achieved in the late 90's the cyclical nature of the sport proves time and time again that it will bounce back. As far as a new star, there isn't really anyone that transcends the sports at the moment (although they have tried and failed with John Cena), but again history shows that a new one will pop up sooner or later. WWE has a lot of guys on their current roster and in their developmental system that IMO could fit the bill if they decide to go that route. It all depends on who they get high on and give a push to. As for MMA, it is growing in leaps and bounds but wrestling will always have one huge advantage...the ability to build up a marketable star without the worry of him losing steam by a loss. I think there is plenty of room in the PPV market for MMA, wrestling, and boxing. |
creative post :)

Vince and Shane huge part of the problem..... while the best outgrew WWE and moved on, they stayed as did many of the bit players. I think it needs to get back to basics where cars dont blow up and stories have some semblance of reality...or from this planet. |
put together foundation to help abused, battered woman and children...
And tell kids that steriods made him crazy.... |
Pro wrestling was always fun to watch because there was nothing real like it. Then ultimate fighting became popular, and suddenly pro wrestling was real somewhere else. How can WWE compete with that? It's only going to get worse for them.
This may sound crazy, but I think they need to eliminate the ring and the whole traditional wrestling aspect of it. Replace it with various sets that the wrestlers fight in. No championships. No ring announcers. No commentators. No acknowledging the crowd. Think of this as a violent version of SNL. |
there is really no story line that would play well with these events
make the donations to help battered women and children but don't promote it |

That's funny, because WWE is reporting RECORD revenue.
They don't have the huge stars they once did, right, but they are making them now. John Cena makes them tons of cash and will no doubt be the next Rock or Stone Cold. They have some solid building of people like CM Punk, who will probably be the next big thing. About the Benoit case, no more cutting corners. No steroids, no drugs, period. Yes, people will get smaller, oh well, wrestling fans forget things in about a week, like they do with all the storylines that don't make sense on a timeline. They got through the Owen Hart tragedy, this one will be tougher, but they'll get through this as well. About UFC and other MMA organizations getting big....there's your new competition, there's your new WCW. It's time to step the game back up like they did in the late 90's. Pro Wrestling will always be huge as long as Vince McMahon is in charge. He's a smart man. It's when someone like Stephanie takes over...that's what worries me. |
more hot girls and I would act like he never existed.
