CyberWurx - I've been with them since early 1999, and I've never had a minute's down time. Their customer service is incredible! I don't think I've ever waited longer than 2 hours before my service requests are fulfilled. Top notch!

Rochard 06-28-2007 01:45 PM

National Net. They are top notch and their customer support is second to none!

Yo Adrian 06-28-2007 01:51 PM

Webair of course.

Fantastic 24/7 support (live chat / icq / aim/ phone etc)
Great pricing and solid packages
Very reputable, very reliable
I could go on, but you should just contact Mike or Gerard and talk to them for yourself, I'm sure they can take care of either you or any of your clients.

Boss Traffic Jim 06-28-2007 02:28 PM

www.techiemedia.com has been my host for over 3 years now and all I can say is they simply ROCK. I hve 7 servers and a load balancer and do approx 500 megs and never have any issues at all. Their support is 2nd to none and their bandwidth is hi quality at very reasonable prices. Ran by some very old school players that know what their doing. Well I could go on, but you get the point.:thumbsup

Cyber Fucker 06-28-2007 02:28 PM

Webair.com I can sleep peacefully no worrying about anything and knowing that my sites are up and running fast... do you need more? :)

Chio 06-28-2007 02:30 PM

Split Infinity. I've been hosting with them since 98.

They are always there when I need them and because they are very good I very rarely do.

is that reason enough?

add to it ridiculously slow FTP transfers (if you have larger websites to upload, you better have few days for it), servers not supporting outmail (if you use script based email contact forms you will not be recieving majority messages from people trying to contact you - a phenomenal way to distroy your business) plus Servage grow their business by suspending websites with reasonable traffic (no, you don't need to have a busy site, you will use 1% of your bandwidth and your site gets suspended) - when your site gets suspended just when your traffic picked up - as a site owner all this traffic will be of no benefit to you, but will promote Servage, because they will post their link there instead of your site.

This is how they grow themselves. they will lure you by the fact that their package has high bandwidth allowance, but if you happen to step over 1% of that bandwidth, you will send a clear signal to them that there's some traffic getting through your site, they will suspend it using "too many resources" excuse, your sites will display their link and the spike in traffic will go to promoting Servage, not yourself. If your site is joust about to make it, when that crucial moment comes, you will get suspended and instead of seeing your site collect for efforts you put into it, Servage will collect and your site will get ruined. Think twice before you go for Servage. They lure website with potential by supposedly having a lot of bandwidth available, but they want to use your site to promote themselves.

Whatever you do, if you are serious about your business do not host with Dreamhost or Servage.

I have many different hosting packages with web hosts all around the globe including a Dreamhost and a Servage account. I use these accounts for extremely low traffic mainstream websites and concept websites that have not reached the live status yet.

Here is what I have to say about Servage for example:

I have heard many horror stories about accounts being shut down as soon as traffic picks up. But that's not the only thing. If you run a database your connection will drop at least a few times a week, causing downtime and severe annoyance. I even had quite a significant database completely wiped out over night. Database backups? That is your own responsibility claims Servage so goodbye 3 days work (the one time I forget to daily backup). Furthermore, the problem with the e-mails not arriving has also been mentioned. I'm not sure which home made version of PHP mail() Servage uses, but half the time scripts sending mail to addresses outside of your Servage account; e-mails don't arrive.

The only reason people recommending Servage or Dreamhost in this thread is because of their incentive of extra free months hosting when they sign up a referral.

After Shock Media 06-29-2007 02:34 AM

Out of all of the hosts mentioned, only one does not advertise. That would be techiemedia.net Need to wonder why? They have the best word of mouth advertising that they do not need to to do any.

Others have mentioned their other reasons. I too do nearly all of my hosting there. Only things I do not put with them are items I could care less are up or down or running slow at any current time. I.E. time wasters and the like.

Feel free to tell Wayne or Jim I sent ya. I am sure they will hook you up just like they do all their clients.
