StuartD 06-27-2007 04:04 AM

No complaints here... wearing my glasses that I got from there right now.

fris 06-27-2007 04:05 AM

do i have to goto my optomtrest and get my prescription before hand?

StuartD 06-27-2007 04:08 AM

Yup, if you are getting glasses to fix your vision, you'll need to visit your optometrist first.
But if you're just getting reading glasses or what ever, they can hook you up.

Masterchief 06-27-2007 04:10 AM

yes...but as someone that used to work there, be prepared to be hit with a markup of over 1000% on the frames :thumbsup

you can probably get them cheaper online

fris 06-27-2007 04:12 AM

ya the ones i want are 450$ for the frames (versace)

Yes, unless you want them to check your eyes there. They didn't tell me if it was optional or not, but on my bill I noticed they charged $15 for the field of vision test.

Get a coupon off their site. There's $75 off there now.

... or you may save more than $75 from picking out frames in the store and then buying from FramesDirect.com. Then you take those frames in. Also check eBay for the frames you want. You might get lucky and see the ones you wanted. Look how cheap... http://search.ebay.com/search/search...1%2 6fsoo%3D1

i went there a couple of years ago and had no problem with them

MandyBlake 06-27-2007 08:34 AM

that's where i went this last time to get glasses.
i got a pair of versace's as well.
most lenscrafters have an optometrist inside. go there.
also. don't forget to give them your AAA membership card. you get a certain percentage off your eye exam and you also get 30% off your frames and lenses. and believe me, 30% is quite a bit!

tony286 06-27-2007 08:38 AM

got my last pair there they arent bad.

ytcracker 06-27-2007 08:41 AM

i have to go do an eye appointment
i dont wear glasses but i just like how they look sophisticated
and im probably like 20/40 so it wouldnt hurt

My ex went there. They were ok, but nothing special. Mostly just convenient.

A friend of mine had her glasses chewed up by her man's puppy, so he decided to splurge and get her new glasses at Lenscrafters. Her original glasses were from the optometrist with the proper coatings and everthing. Compared to her previous lenses and frames, the lenscrafters glasses are needing to be adjusted every week, and they scratch very easily. She wasn't impressed at all.

i've been going there for years (yes unfortunately i have been a mole person for most of my life).

no major complaints really. i do appreciate the convienience of it. i have a bad habit of breaking glasses, so it is nice to be able to get new ones almost immediately. ;)

and coincidentally enough, i am wearing some versace frames right now. seems they have some popular glasses.

Vendzilla 06-27-2007 09:42 AM

I just got new glasses yesterday. But I got them from my new optomitrist
