Does anyone know any sights that we can go on to find out where to look for certain stars and planets and stuff like that?

Get some software like Starry Night or The Sky that will tell you when and where to look for what in your particular location

There is also http://heavens-above.com which is mostly for satellite observation but has some planet info :thumbsup

If there are any highrise apartments or dorms within view, they can provide hours of heavenly body viewing pleasure... :Graucho
