i've used steroids, know quite a bit about steroids and am surrounded for a couple hrs a day by quite a few people on steroids at the gym that i am great friends with and spend a lot of time with. blaming an isolated, premeditated act of murdering ones family on steroid use is ignorant.Comment

that has nothing to do with reality. some guy being a little more irritable or aggressive than normal, is hardly the same as planning to fly home and kill your family.
if you knew what you were talking about, you would know how prolific steroid use and steroid abuse is in pro sports, other sports (high school/college or any just about any sport), bodybuilding and so on... and that obviously people running around killing their families in a premeditated manner, hasn't exactly been a huge problem.Comment

"Roid Rage" is such a stupid term, it's just ridiculous. Yes, steroids can make you moody, depressed, anxious and they can shorten an already short temper, they don't however make a generally good person in to a homicidal maniac overnight. It's just ridiculous to think otherwise.
There's plenty of violent crime going on in the USA being committed by people who have never touched any steroids what-so-ever.
Is it possible that some combination of steroid use or withdrawl contributed to this? Sure, it could be one piece of the puzzle for sure. However just ignorantly shouting "Steroid Rage!" just proves how well you soak up the media garbage you're spoon fed.
And finally, Benoit was a pretty big guy, in prety good shape, but let's face it he was no 5% body fat Ronnie Coleman. His body type could be supported with little to no steroids at all. Remember, these are professional athletes whos job it is to work out. Just because YOU can't look like him without streoids, doesn't mean it can't be done. Shit, it's not like we're talking about Batista here..Comment
