Any BF 2142 Players?

I downloaded the BF2142 demo but I have to upgrade my video card before getting into any new games. It was way too choppy to play.

I remember you, me, YNOTBob, and some others would play BF1942, or rather the mod for it, DesertCombat, a couple years ago.

Yea. BF2142 rocks some serious shit, it does take a bit to get used to it, and has a really nice stats/upgrade path based upon your class, once you get into it squad based combat rocks with a mini team of 8 peeps.. I would deff recommend getting it and giving it a go for a bit. You do need a decent machine though.. my base box is a dual AMD 64 X2 4800, with Nvidia 7800, 2 gigs ram.. this plays it pretty damn smoothly at 1600x1200 all things turned on..

yeah i am still playin BF2 but thinkin about getting 2142 now that BF2 stats are all fucked up and we don't know if they are going to be fixing it any time soon

haha. well you guys should switch get into 2142, i prefer just the city maps (ground combat) but deff enough maps that have both big open ones for vehicles and or ground combat.. I have been pretty sucked into it.

The game is really cool, especially if the two teams are equally strong. Boy, I played some awesome games lately :D

We won our 8v8 league match last night, it was fun. :)

Tbh, I've never played BF2142 with less than 32 players, is it fun?

Desert Combat, BF2, and BF2142 are all the shit...I still go back and forth between BF2 and 2142. I had BF2 the day it came out and have not gotten tired of playing it yet.

From what I've seen, I think the biggest team sizes for competition are 12v12 titan ladders. I could be wrong though. But, the 8v8's and 6v6's are really fun. Tons of action. Small maps are used, so all of the fighting is concentrated to, usually, about 3 flags. Plus, everyone knows what they are doing, so it can get really intense.

I like playing in the bigger pub servers too. Although, I start to get a little laggy when there about 45+ players on a server. Regardless, the more players to kill the better!

yea. i prefer 32 vs 32 maps and mainly city maps.. it would be nice to play with some people as a squad.. not sure if everyone can find a decent server that gives everyone the best ping..

We actually play FMJ tonight, they are a good team. I hope we can pull it off.

Mr Pheer, sorry about that, some times its hard to get people all on the same page, but with 2142 its easy to join a server and be in a squad of people.

I've been playing 2142 for months, but only been playing in public servers... I always kickass but it gets pretty boring to be playing alone all the time.
