This is great!

IX-Gal 06-26-2007 04:42 AM

Ferrari! FTW!

Minte 06-26-2007 05:39 AM

You are comparing apples and oranges. The price points on those two cars aren't even close. A new GT3 will set you back $120k and very used late 90's Ferrari will be in that range. The Porsche will work well as a daily driver and on the track it will toast any ferrari in that price range. The cost of maintenance on the Porsche will be a small fraction of the Ferrari.

If you intend on driving the car go Porsche,if you planning on parking in front of a Starbucks the Ferrari.

campimp 06-26-2007 05:40 AM

call me crazy, but id much rather have a bad ass lexus then either of them...

noone1 06-26-2007 05:45 AM

If they are the same price, get the Porsche, because any Ferrari under $200K is old and not nearly as good as a new Porsche.

The new GT3 will smoke nearly any Ferrari out there. The Turbo would probably do the same. If you want a Ferrari which is better than the best Porsches, you better have about $250K-300K.

Dollarmansteve 06-26-2007 08:59 AM

If you intend to drive it regularly, 911 for sure. Ferrari would be more fun to drive, but not everyday.

Xenophage 06-26-2007 09:03 AM

Porche as a daily driver ferarri if you live in an area of otehr ferraris otehrwise you stick out like a sore thumb and if you liek to stick out like a sore thumb then buy an orange Lambo :)

That is the absolute truth. I never really considered the rockstar factor thing before I got the Lamborghini. I have driven Porsches for a long time and they never draw any attention, even the twin turbo. Every time I take the Lamborghini out, people pull along side to snap pics with their cell phones. It's been photographed 100's of times since I got it. Over a period of time the attention it gets can be annoying.

There probably is a 2-3 year wait for one of those.

XTuber 06-26-2007 09:21 AM

Spend all your money on a pre-built super car that is only going to scream "I have Money" or spend a smart amount of money on a tuner car and build the biatch up. You'll dust the ferarris and porsches and I'll respect you for building your own ride.

$250,000 on a fast car
or
$35,000 on not so fast car, + $20,000 in engine, tranny, turbo, suspension, etc mods and you have a super fast car.

But that's just my broke man's opinion. :321GFY

Triple10Hec 06-26-2007 09:28 AM

nothing breaks a neck more than a ferrari..porsche's are like honda civics..everyone has them.
