my views on marshal mathers

c'mon..... kids love him. My neases and nephews like to mimic him. Not everyone can do this on point btw. You really can't hate him. He's just doing what everyone else would have done, considering his lifestyle before. Who am I to judge anyway, I never met the fucker. I would smoke out with him tho. His first album was the better than the rest he put out. I still bump his music from time to time, just not the mainstream tracks.

The guy has got some talent. Rapper/Actor and who knows what else he has in store. Who here can out rap or act him? He's funny to me. The way taunts politicians, his rivals and what not. He just might do something later that will change your views towards him.

Loosen up guys, don't go cornball on me

qdtobbe 08-30-2002 12:51 PM

oh my god!. i don`t like that guy, even if all the kids like him i will never go that low. sorry :winkwink:

SykkBoy 08-30-2002 12:55 PM

My biggest problem wih him, besides the fact I can't stand rap, is that he's a bit too full of himself...if you can't laugh at yourself or take a few jabs at yourself, you generally won't make it too far....I would never argue with his success, but he's basically a diva with a dick....

Cheshire 08-30-2002 12:57 PM

I'd spit game at him

meeeeeeow!

he makes fun of his butthole chin and crooked nose all the time... It's called taking too much shit all your life and now being in a position where you shouldnt have to... I'm kinda like that... I'm insecure :( I'd like to welcome ya'll to the nocostporn show

I was listening to 'cleaning out my closet' yesterday and it got so freaky deep for me I had to turn it off 'cause I started getting shivers.

It's all about if you can relate to his lyrics (which kick ass) ~ *some* of his songs are so vivid to his exsistance and where he came from that you just have to respect him for opening himself up the way he does.

PurelyInsane 08-30-2002 01:03 PM

Eminem ranks up there with Tupac as one of the best lyricists EVER. Nobody else can flow like he does, especially when it comes to a freestyle battle. He's not afraid to piss people off, because he'll get away with it all the time. He's got a group of thugs (D-12) watchin his back at all times, and he has Dr. Dre, the mastermind behind the whole show, leading the way for him.

SetTheWorldonFire 08-30-2002 01:07 PM

what nocostporn said :thumbsup

and there is a difference between receiving a joke and being disrespected. I don't think Eminem would have booed Moby and the VMAs if he won.

Remember....... there is a Slim Shady in all of us. Nobody is perfect. Just like the USA, i don't know what the hell they did to Osama, but he's pretty pissed. Same thing goes for what Moby and anybody else would have done to him. When a man gets mad, he wants revenge! Tell me I'm lieing and I'll tell you to get your head out of your ass.

To PurelyInsane: I agree, he is a very talented freestyler. He's got that snap judgement and a sharp survival knife.

I originally posted this in another thread...
But this threads much nicer, so I post it again XX

DrGuile 08-30-2002 01:29 PM

I think he's a jackass and really sounded stupid last night for being scared of the puppet dog....

he's got a good sense of irony...

but he's still a little wigger who acts though...

"I will hit a man with glasses" wtf was that? He thinks Moby will start a fight?!?

iBill John 08-30-2002 01:33 PM

I don't think he was scared. I know what and who that dog was. I'd do the same or kick the guy who is holding the puppet in the ass. You know someone is about to make fun of you. What do you do? stand there like a dumbass. You guys need to remember that everyone is watching. mom, dad, sister, brother, grandma, neighbors, cousins, and friends. Your just gonna stand there like a jackass. :ugone2far I think you just wish they could make fun of him on tv. Well guys that did'nt happen did it.

As for the Moby thing, apparently you did not read the whole post. A man can be driven to to revenge. That's all the is. I mean, push me far enough and I'll the same shit to you. enimies folks, we all have em. unless you are a Ned Flanders cornball.

Will the real Smim Shady please shut up?

Stealthy 08-30-2002 02:00 PM

I neither like nor dislike the guy, I agree that "Stan" was a pretty poigniant song, although it could have just been another lyrical marketing scheme... You know, "piss everybody off then write something sensitive"

I do respect the fact that he's a private person, but to say things like "I don't owe my fans anything" is a huge pile of horse shit, despite all the hype and the Demographically Specific Target Marketing, it's the fans that buy the records and ultimately they're his "Employers" if you will. Kids don't buy your CD, you don't make your next mortgage payment. It wasn't Mathers that got himself where he is, it was his label and Dr. Dre who saw in him a new character to push on the masses. I'm not saying the guy has talent, but if he had gone the DIY route, he probably would be rapping for food on some corner in Hollywood.

I missed the MTV awards last night, what the Hell happened?

Fuck I hate it when I'm too late to edit... I meant to say that "I'm not saying the guy DOESN'T have talent" yadda yadda yadda

cold_ice 08-30-2002 06:18 PM

Hey dudes EMINEM is fucking great and will be around for a long. Although my house has never had wheels nor a hitch or my skin color is not some pale ass color I can relate to some of his music. STAN was just fucking the bomb from the first time I ever heard it I got a complete visual of what was going on. Even if a person does not like rap one can not honestly acknowledge this guys talent. I for one prefer some rock or even country over rap but I go out and buy anything this guy puts out( well i would buy if it werent for KAZAA maybe Ill just say I own all his shit) :thumbsup
