never really used yahoo for promoting, maybe a mistake

Yahoo groups made me quite a few bucks, almost useless today though, you can still squeeze a buck or two but definately not what it used to be

at some point I used to make hundreds of groups a week, stuff them with keywords and make very good money out of them, then Yahoo started deleting them faster than I can create them ;)

remember the clubs too, they were the groups predecessors, no?

I too remember the good ol' days! It sure wasn't hard to build followings with yahoo group toplists, some solid content and an hour a day. :)

Clubs were before groups, yeah.

I still like the old Clubs setup much better then the Groups setup.

groups were popular back then. An NE Coeds group is still out there. LoL

Surprisingly, Bondage Photography Group is still around (since 1999). Its one of the oldest groups I know of...

Damn that was good traffic. RIP.

As a surfer, I loved Yahoo Groups back in the day.. then they limited the image file size to something ridiculous like 10kb and ruined the whole fucking concept in one fell swoop.

True dat.

Yes and no. Good traffic that didn't convert worth a damn.

We saved the mailing list for EBF just days before Yahoo axed the group, though. :)

Under the leadership of Terry Semel, Yahoo fucked everything up.
