i feel bad, I didn't even know he was retired let alone dead . what the hell happened to him?

Rod Beck an All-Star relief pitcher who wore a bushy mustache while earning 286 career saves, has died. He was 38. Beck was found Saturday by police officers responding to a call to his home in suburban Phoenix, police department spokesman Andy Hill said Sunday. Foul play is not suspected, though the cause of death might not be known for several days

Pretty sad, he was a great family guy, but I know he struggled with some personal issues the last year of his career. Way too young to die, his two girls were off at summer camp and his wife had to fly out and tell them the news.

Wow. I remember when he was pitching for the Giants :(
