REGULAR FLYERS, Need your Opinions ASAP
ok, hi, tomorrow I am off to Oslo with some friends and I am a replacment for someone who can not go.
Anyway the ticket is in his name. From your experience, would checkout allow me to fly? I will have a letter from him saying its ago as long as his telephone number on there which they can phone. Also I shall have 3 of my friends with me vouching that yes this other guy has cancelled and I shall take his place? Would it work/. If i could have your answers asap please as im off to bed very soon as I need to be up at 6.00am tomorrow |
This absolutely would not work in the United States. Have no idea about Europe. Call the airline, though I'm guessing its a no.

You seriously need to call the airline first before just showing up, or you'll probably get turned away. Your friend might be able to cancel the ticket and get a credit for it if he paid full fair, but usually most airlines will not allow you to change names on a ticket, even if you call in advance.
