Always make sure you're stash is stocked, and plan for the unexpected (people dropping in, etc).

In Quebec the "Depaneur" corner store delivers beer to your doorstep until 11 PM so it's pretty hard to only have 1 left ;-)

Yep that delivery thing is pretty convenient, especially when you've had too many to risk driving to go get more.
