A remark about "Ambush Interviews"

The guy giving those interviews is a fucking loser who thinks he got the game on lock with his bestiality promoting, ugly, traffic losing, tgp.

In contrast with his own view of Ambush Interview, it is by far an interview with the "industry players". It's a fucking lame ass bro gathering with wothless sales reps being presented as "industry players". We all know program reps are like toilet paper - you only hit them up for the dirty work. They have a 9 to 5 job like every other office job out there yet they get a special "bro" treatment from mr. slob himself like they're self made businessmen like Donald Trump.

We've all seen the post by will where he describes why people who act like asses on boards are, really, asses. They hide behind the keyboard to unleash their inner frustrations, and when they come face to face they get dickless like a fucking bitch and act like they are the nicest person on earth. WRONG - They are dickless, ignorant and stupid. And often, fat.

Cant we all just get along :-)

ps; I never hide or lie, i always tell the truth, even when i lie i tell the truth!

shemp, youre cool and adapt to the changes in this game. Your tgp looks like it's from this time - unlike sleazy's piece of shit traffic losing, extremely old fashioned site.

There are only a handful of "players" in this industry. Some of the names who come to mind are Lensman, Brad Shaw, Ron Cladwell, Tony Morgan, Steve Lightsped, and perhaps a handful of others (sorry if I've left your name off the list....)

It's less about interviewing "industry players" (of which there are only a dozen), and more about interviewing the average person who works in the industry.

I've always found the interviews interesting. Off the 100+ people interviewed to date..... I've done business with every one of them in the past. It's always interesting to learn more about the people I do business with.

Or are you just pissed that you haven't been interviewed yet?

I don't recall doing business with you.

Hmm... maybe trading links counts.

when i started ambush interview - my purpose was to interview players in the game. I defined it as those who work full time in online adult - basically those that dedicate their professional lives to this career. I didn't use money or welath as a determining factor in that, only dedication of one's professional career. almost 2 years later I think better than 98% of those I interviewed are STILL in adult and the vast majority are still in their same jobs. That's a strong statement about he quality of the people being interviewed.

Rochard has been doing many of the recent interviews and I'm VERY impressed with the work and time he's putting into it. It's a LOT of work and I really appreciate his efforts on this. He reason for doign so was along with the basic reason why i started ambush interview in the first place. He though it was something that was needing to exist.

Ambush has helped not only those ambushed but piles and piles of people have come up to me over the years now and thanked me for the information in it cause they were able to find common things outside this biz with the people who they do biz with that got ambushed.

Rochard and I do ambush as a service to the industry to give something back and make GFY a better place and put a lot of effort into that for your benefit to help you with the realtionships within your business if your business is online adult.

I'm sorry you think it sucks.

I love ambush, however recently I noticed there are loads of questions related to alcohol and partying, where I would rather learn about the porn industry rather than what some rep did in los angeles that night with 6 litres of vodka.

I'd agree. The old ones are real interesting, went into the backgrounds of a lot of people. How they got started, troubles they encountered, etc. The newer ones seem more like inside jokes and party stories. Maybe that's the purpose of them, but to the average reader, it's not as interesting.

Brad Gosse 06-24-2007 05:36 AM

Ambush interviews are a fun read. Many of the 9-5 people you mention are the lifeblood of the business.

Who cares how big a player they are or how much $ they make?

bingo good post :)

StuartD 06-24-2007 05:41 AM

Uhmm... question, who should he interview?? Who do you want to hear from? Industry players or noobs?

Get a clue... he interviews the people that he knows people will benefit hearing about. Think network ratings.... do you give the people what they want... or do you give them utter crap so as not to discriminate against the burger flippers?

You consider them to be players??? I remember Steve posting a CCBill screenshot couple of years ago and his sites were netting about 10 mil a year. Even if it is double now it is ?only? 20 mil.

Players are Berth Milton (Private Media Group), Beate Uhse (Beate Uhse AG), Hugh Hefner and so on.

People you mentioned, although successful, are just small timers.

Quagmire 06-24-2007 06:09 AM

I like the interviews. Its helps you get to know some of the people you could be dealing with on a daily basis and basically seems to be all in good fun.

But what do I know, I'm just some n00b with only 2000 posts.

I think it's worthy to note that Mr. Trump, while extremely successful today, is not what I'd call "self-made"; similarly I wouldn't call Howard Hughes "self-made" even though they are both highly successful businessmen. :winkwink:

His father Fred Trump was a successful property developer that helped form the young Donald's business sense. Donald acknowledged his father's influence by stating that ?My father was my mentor, and I learned a tremendous amount about every aspect of the construction industry from him.?.
Trump began his career in his family's real estate business after studying at the Wharton Business School. He worked with his father for five years and was extremely successful in making profitable deals.
Just some food for thought... no need praying to false idols :2 cents:

Wow if you acted more like you did in this post and less like you do the majority of other times you post here, I might actually like you.

Not that means anything to you because to you I am a nobody who owns nothing, does nothing, and doesn't travel the world flying first class like you and Lars. :upsidedow

(did Sleazy really write that, looks like everything was spelled correctly - honest question.)

I think i read 1 or 2 of those interviews, cant recall which ones anymore. Why anybody cares about the life of sales rep x is beyond me though.
