Anyone play disc golf?
 

If you do, do you know of any good sites that can teach you the basics?

Like proper throwing techniques and disc selection for distance and conditions?

No idea... Disc Golf has throwing styles, and all types of stuff.. from what wiki says, never heard of it.

i play, but i dont know of any sites.

I play sometimes, it's fun with a slurpee and bottle of rum. Don't know any sites though.

just go out to the course witha glass piece,
a good nugget or two, and some discs.
find some hippies and burn one with em.
they will teach you far better than a website could.

i throw drivers sidearm, i cant get any real drive throwing it traditionally.

i usually play with two discs...

i use a JLS (168 grams i think) as a driver, and i like using a heavy viper (like 180 gram) for midrange and putting.

from what i have been able to tell, most of the distance comes from the release, and how much spin you can put on the plastic when it leaves your hand.

i would have to see you throw to offer any better advice.

I really suck at it but I sure do enjoy it. :)
