Confused about keywords!! Need advice!!
Hi,
I just started a WP blog site. I've choosen my keyword is "a b c d e" (5-word-keyword). I did a search in WordTracker and saw that there were about 150 searchs daily in Google for "a b c d e". Then my site was 1# in Google for "a b c d e". Then I made another search in WordTracker and saw that people searched 120 times daily for "b c d e". I did my best and my site was 1# in Google for "b c d e". Now my site even is 3# in Google for keyword "c d e" with 5000 compepitors, but I searched in WordTracker and saw that there was NO search about "c d e" daily in both Google and Yahoo. That made me confused a lot. I do not know what to do next. I wonder which one is more important between the length of keyword or the time people search for it daily. I need your advice. Thanks a lot. |
The reason why you saw no traffic in Wordtracker for "c d e" is b/c the exact phrase may not be used in WT's sample data** but Google attributes certain variations of "c d e" to your exact phrase "c d e".
You can use Trellian KeywordDiscovery and select phrase match to get an idea of how much volume is available for "c d e" and it's phrase variations. You can even use the other keywords that pop up for your "c d e" phrase to increase your theme quality score. **Wordtracker relies on sample data from meta search engines and directories like dogpile. This gives you a more realistic idea of how much volume your site will get. |
I'm amazed that someone understood the question.
