I can only base a reply on our own experience - to which I'd say yeah, profits are up over last year.
Generally speaking, who knows. Mebbe the poll will give an indication. |
Torrent site's and it's supporters have really hurt the industry this year

Bottom Line... More profitable:thumbsup
The industry as a whole will continue to grow as long as the number of internet users continues to grow. As far as profitability of adult companies... The ones that continue to satisfy the needs of both the affiliates and the customer with a quality product, outstanding customer service and a commitment to continued improvement will always enjoy the rewards of their labor. :thumbsup _ |

Nice I agree |
i work constantly on evolving so i cant tell
i mean its growing for me all the time |
yeah I have never had a down year yet in this biz every year is more profitable than the last
|
Our payouts have been increasing ;-)
|
Are overall revenues up?
The question was not for you to individually say how good you are doing but the state of the industry. From what I have read in mainstream news Porn DVD sales and Porn site sales are as much as 25% down. |
Just found something that proves my post above wrong that DVD sales are down by 30% in the past 2 years and Porn internet sales are UP 14%

Offline is still as strong as it was before the net - but with varying trends over countries - some are stronger, some weaker. One obvious difference is every tosspot can't raise a few mill to start a chain of adult stores. |
The pie is bigger, but more and more non-porn and non-adult companies are using porn to springboard their products and services into the market, and as such, the amount of porn dollars staying in the porn business isn't growing like it use to.
Further, with the combinations of higher quality scams and technology theives running under the radar there is a great shift of money away from affiliates and into a smaller and smaller number of blackhat operators hands. Not blackhat SEO, but blackhat operations completely (see 85.255.*.* for more info). As a result, the programs are still seeing big sales, the content providers and backend service people are still seeing their business grow, but on the pure affiliate side, it isn't growing in the slightest. The number of people I know who have either left the business or shrunk down to nothing is amazing. 2006-2007 has been a horrible year to be an affiliate selling stuff. |
Welp its an intersting game just like paying dungeons and dragons in 1976 :)

I do better each year and do nothing of what I did 5 years ago.
