how to make [honest] money from bookmarkers
 

Here's my problem: my site has too many bookmarkers -

My main site gets around 20k hits/day with almost 35% bookmarkers, and I find it hard to keep on selling to them... Any ideas on how to turn this around?

My search engine ranking is not too bad, and I get the odd hits from them (referrer pos. 13), and some of my link exchanges are with relatively 'big guys' - no complains either (they're not all TGP sites), but which ever way I look at it: over 60% are return-visitors, and they don't keep on spending...
(Almost0 every one of my galleries has different ads on, I rotate the links on my main page, etc.
I mean: how many 'new' hardcore sites with even more and better content can I advertise?

Or put your TGP behind an AVS and finally start making money (wich is, imho the best solution to this crazy tgp business) instead of being the biggest free porn whore there is on the web.

Try selling them alternatives. Maybe promote a casino, penis pills or internet eraser if you already don't. The fact is they can get porn for free or maybe internet eraser, but they can't gamble real money for free or get a bigger cock for free. Porn doesn't sell on a free site? Maybe they'll be interested in something else.

The site I'm writing about is not a TGP, but a 'free series' site [link in my www]... TGP is a new site I want to start (hopefully some extra income).

My site was probably one of the first to publish free series (now everybody's doing it). And I do a few things to 'reduce' the return rate, eg. closed my archives ages ago, now I re-run old series (saves on content, too! = 50-60% are re-runs), and with most galleries I publish less pictures than I used to do (and save the complete set for AVS), etc.

And I tried a few 'non-membership' thingies; I was probably one of the first to advertise penis enlargement almost 3 years ago, but again: there are only so many 'new' things. And I don't want to advertise casinos, though, 'cause I don't find it fair to encourage people to gamble their hard-earned cash away. I still have a 'morale' line I won't cross :Graucho

If you want to promote something totally unique, why not sign up for our Strip Kittens affiliate program? We don't have a ton of affiliates, and we like to keep it that way, but those who are promoting it are very happy with the results.

We bought a small chunk of traffic from Choker not too long ago as a test and saw some pretty nice results on blind TGP traffic. It's so different that it sells to pretty much everyone who see it.

Slap up a banner or text link and see how it does. I think you'll be surprised. And I think you'll make some good money too. :)

How many sites were there back in 1998 who published only 'free series'? Most had a mix of Zmaster pix or grainy BBS content...

All I wanted to say was that over the years I tried to pick up new ideas as soon as I notice their potential... Currently I don't see any.

He's either the first site, or one of the first, in the series niche. First one I ran across, a long time ago.

George, can't think of too many "original" type sites. Two I would suggest would be Gary's Reality Sites program, or maybe the escort site. That way you can offer them the pleasure of watching drunk sluts and crack whores kick each others asses, or the chance they can hook up with some fucks for bucks in their local area after they get worked up looking at your site.

Not sure that this would be anything good for you but it might I am working on a new site which is going to be a free webzine. If you convert you site to that the way I am doing it would cut down on your book markers hitting your site without you losing contact or the chance to sell the bookmarker something new

The reason why my site's not as big as some is probably because I took too much time off; either went travelling or just had other (better?) things to do... But I didn't get square eyes (from computer fixation) nor lost all contacts out there.

I guess now I missed my chance... which was probably about 2 1/2 years ago, when every big TGP listed my galleries in top position... But I went overseas for several months and when I came back everybody and his dog were doing series (often with content copied from my site)...
The trip was fun, though!

Any other (long-term) suggestions?
