Can I lay a 52" projection TV down when moving it???
I just swapped all the TV's in my house with LCD and Plasma's and I have a HD 52" projection TV that i want to give to my Mom. I don't want to rent a truck to move it but I'm not sure if i can lay it down in the SUV. Does anyone know if this will throw the lenses out of whack ???

yeah but be VERY careful

You can, just don't go over any bumps fast. Go really slow..
You don't have to lay down plasmas or lcds, but the screen can break if you go over bumps. |
they are supposed to be moved upright,a slight bump may put them out of whack. Rent a pickup, isnt your mom worth it ??:winkwink:

I wouldn't try it myself.

DONT lay it down bro it will fuck up the tube and make it wack
|
NO, upright only. Do not lay it down.. you "could" transport it facedown if you drove like 15mpg and never hit any big bumps but it's not worth the risk.
|
Yup dont lay it down.

OK .. I'll rent a truck or make a Bro call ..lol its a long drive. about 30 miles. if i can't get my buddy to do it I'll rent a Uhaul .. thanks for the info guys.

I'd be more worried about the angle of the mirror being too flat and therefore more likely to break than knocking the lenses out of wack but yeah better to be safe and do it vertical.
