nothing about it on CNN.com front page, yet the news has been appearing on the front of new.google.com for hours.

why does US news censor iraqi war coverage?

MattO 06-19-2007 08:14 PM

It was on the front page real early this morning (3:45am) and it got bumped off the front after a bunch of hours.

Wrong assessment.

CNN is not reporting it extensively because the operation is a success. If it had been a failure, they would have it highlighted every 5 minutes. If you had been checking out FOX, you'd know all about it.

It's not "US news censor iraqi war coverage" but "US liberal media not wanting to show success in the war on terror"

StickyGreen 06-19-2007 09:59 PM

So what about Fox News then? Were they all over this story today?

Fox told you that .....

You should listen to the generals, including the top one that was " forced " to resign .. But that is NOT on Fox....

BTW, I watch FOX during diner ( O'REilly, Sannity, etc ...) I like to hear about the other side ( the fair and balanced ) and it is really more entertaining then the CNN reports ...With FOX, they say " Bad Guys " a least 20 times in the shows, making it easy to follow ....

Sort of how Fox News ignores nearly every failure in Iraq, and how some of their shows can go days at a time without so much as a blurb about Iraq?

I heard this name on NPR this afternoon while driving in the car. This name seems Long and ridiculus.

Intruder 06-19-2007 10:09 PM

I can't believe anyone watches CNN any more. 24 hours of empty drivel and commercials. The News Hour, or the BBC News is worth your time.

Fox has nothing on it if you bothered to look... and it sounds about as successful as this entire clusterfuck of a war.

Only a matter of months now until your troops come home with their tails between their legs.

Worst foreign policy blunder since the Vietnam War.
