Please Tell Me Why you STILL Promote Paysites and Not Webcams?

I have personally seen customers drop $15K in a single month, I see some programs like PussyCash offer $125 per paid join, others up to 35% (for the common folk) revshare for $5.00/min. chats, ask anyone who has promoted cam sites seriously and they will tell you the conversion rates can be phenomenal.

Of course, if you run a zillion-visitors-a-day TGP I don't think dropping everything to promote chat sites is smart but for almost everyone else .... why?

Just curious.

And of course, if I'm way out in left field, please correct/educate me.
(and I know a few of you will try, and not so politely... but a semi-serious debate would be nice)

Go...

Kevin please don't talk rational to the Bro's. hahaha Oh wait I am a bro.......... argh. LOL

I often wonder this myself but the number 1 reason is they see stats and get freaked out because the ratios vary somewhat VS paysites.

I promote both but I make a lot more promoting paysites then cam sites.. its just so hard for me to get those mythical wales!

are there any money in webcams?

TheLegacy 06-19-2007 12:06 PM

hey I like webcams myself, but there are webmasters who have paysites (not just sites they get from large company's affiliate programs) who simple refuse to put anything as an upsell in their members area. they will buy content, movies plugins etc. but will keep the area pure so as not to piss off members.. those sites I have seen last a long time and members stay.

it really is knowing your clients

Webcams are nice, and make me some nice coin, but not every surfer is interested in some poor quality small screen feed. Some just want to see your average skank with 2 cocks in full 1024x768.

I have found webcams is a very niche market.

cybermike 06-19-2007 12:17 PM

BTW who pays 35%? The highest I have seen is 30% from moneytree.. 50% from nastydollars when they first started their cam program but now its only pps.. I'm still getting money from their revshare :(

For someone with so much to say about webcams why is CamSpot Cash not even on your list. We convert as good as any of those on there if not better and pay it out on $1 joins, not waiting for credits to be bought.

Site owners should know what kind of traffic they get - not all sites/programs have the right traffic for cam upsells.

That being said, we've made plenty of car and mortgage payments, through commission checks over the last 11 years. If the webmater is willing to work on it, there's a real potential to easily make more from one cam upsell, than the rest of their upsells, combined.

It's just a matter of what works for them and their traffic :)

Happy selling! :thumbsup

:2 cents:

You just have to know your traffic.. Play with a jiggy a bit until its just right..

A good question!

Rui 06-19-2007 01:53 PM

I get what your saying, but the question itself is a bit like those big tabloid headlines... ;)

You surely know better than that :)

Webmasters have to know what kind of traffic they have and how webcam sites work in order to promote them in the best way.

I'm sure that if the webmaster that wants to promote webcam sites will do a little thinking/research and work with the programs on knowing what tools works and what can work for them they can make a lot more then what they are earning right now.

In webcam sites(ImLive.com for example) there is no end to what you can do and you can niche it out all the way to the smallest sub niches...

Let me know when you have celebrity webcams :D

Dirty F 06-19-2007 03:13 PM

Because no matter what i try i cant sell cams. Not 1 membership, nothing. Member area traffic, blogs, tgp, free sites, you name it. I cant sell them.
