Washington Redskins - Soooo Bling!

150 points in 4 games during the pre-season. Tonight they play the Patriots in a final pre-season game.

150 points in 4 games is like college style...i would love to see the NFL move to a more college-like appearance, throwing the ball long instead of playing this conservative boring shit year after year.

NFL football is great don't get me wrong...but watching a team beat someone 64-7 or 40-10 is alot more fun than watching a 7-3 game.

So kudo's to Steve Spurrier for leaving the gators & bringing his game to the NFL...should make future seasons much more fun to watch :thumbsup

nocostporn 08-29-2002 12:27 PM

no shit,I actually have something to be proud of in my area... I think they bought the ring FINALLY

Steve 08-29-2002 12:28 PM

you think he'll beat 8-8 this year? that O-line has problems, the QBs are NFL washouts, and they have one healthy defensive tackle.

Alky 08-29-2002 12:28 PM

thats cause college football is gay.

Auslander 08-29-2002 12:28 PM

Did you actually just write "Soooo bling"?? Good God!

WayPay-Kenny 08-29-2002 12:32 PM

I'm with prO, I'm a long time Redskins fan, born just outside of the DC area. I think this year is going to be very interesting. They have a coach that absolutely hates to lose and obviously has a game plan that should shake things up. Should make all their games fun to watch!

Go Skins!

We just picked up a class-act right gaurd from the detroit lions so the O-line is starting to look a little better.

And we have 3 pro-bowl linebackers to make up for our shakey D-line.

All in all..it should be an interesting season to say the least.

where the fuck do the Skins find the cap room? They fucking sign a lot of players.

And yeah, you Skins fans are gonna love Armstead, man. He has a motor that doesn't quit.

How could you be with pr0 when he actully said, "Sooooo bling" with a straight face!??!

You guys crack me up!!!!!:1orglaugh

It is the PRE-SEASON

The startes are only in for the first quarter!Running the score up on some guys who will not even be on the team is really no big accomplishment.

Ol Stevo will be entertaining but will not and I repeat will not make the play-offs!

Good question...Deon Sanders still took up a big chunk of this years cap & he's not even playing for us this year.

We signed Trotter from the Eagles...& Armstead.

Some people are even talking super-bowl (which hasn't been mentioned in years).

We shall see :1orglaugh

Scoring 150 points in 4 games, regardless of who your playing is an accomplisment in the NFL....pre-season or regular season.

I was born into a skins fan. I had no choice in the matter, raised by my mom and brothers to love the skins and I just went with the flow for years. Then after the good times had passed with the skins and way to may years of Norv Turner I turned coat! I just couldnt handle rooting for them one more day. I had always gone to at least one skins game a year, so I choose a skins game to show my new love! The Buccaneers! (it was only a preseason game before anyone starts flaming me with that shit)
However, had I not given up I would be a die hard, loven life skins fan right now! But I dont like to jump on to the quickest train just cause of a few flashy moves by some players who really havent experienced the wrath of the NFL!
Go Buc's!

Okay, so I'm with him with the exception of his bling statement.

TazBo 08-29-2002 01:55 PM

Hey Pro, after seeing the skins demolish the Bucs I became a believer. Not only do they have an offensive genius for there head coach, they have a defensive guru in Marvin Lewis. I know they will put alot of points on the board but I was just as impressed with how well there Defense played. There linbackers are kick ass. They will do well and I believe they will make the playoffs.

CraigA 08-29-2002 02:06 PM

They can bash ol' Stevie Superior all they want, but he's a winner and he knows offense as well as any coach ever. Period. Us Gator fans and alumni will miss his in your face act. Granted, it is only the pre season, but the robotic NFL coaching fraternity is praying this success doesn't transfer to the regular season. As an added bonus, the 'Skins have Marvin Lewis as defensive coordinator, and two outright studs on that side of the ball with LaVarr Arrington and Champ Bailey.
The Skins go 11-5 and into the playoffs.:winkwink:

Lets see what happens when the games actually MEAN something shall we?

:winkwink:

I have no doubt they will be a better team this year BUT pre-season and regular season are two VERY different situations.

Squishy 08-29-2002 06:03 PM

Bears, you fuckin' crackheads! It's all Bears all the time! This thread is moot.

About time someone said it. DA BEARS!

FlyingIguana 08-29-2002 06:57 PM

its preseason, which means nothing once the real season starts. they can put up points against back ups and no names, but that means absolutely zip.

tree 08-29-2002 07:01 PM

the steelers will own you all

daisy diaz 08-29-2002 08:13 PM

How about those skins? I know I will be happy as shit when the regular season starts!:Graucho

Oh well the skins didn't win tonight....but atleast we know now who will be starting at the QB position ...Shane Matthews.

Mojo Risin 08-29-2002 08:59 PM

Washington gained just 10 total yards in the second quarter, and nine of those came on a meaningless play that ran out the clock.

Wilbo 08-29-2002 09:14 PM

Why root for the Skins when the Ravens are just up the street?

ADL Colin 08-30-2002 04:08 AM

I'm not a Redskins fan at all but I think y'all have a lot of talent. Linebacker heaven. Lavarr is the man. He will be insane this year turned lose in that defensive scheme. Killer corners too.

Spurrier? I think he'll be the real deal but it's possible he'll take a few seasons since he needs a QB but they'll be too good to get a good draft pick. Hell, it's possible he'll do well with Shane Matthews.
Who knows?
