the chief of police both here in Barcelona and in my native Reykjavik are both white...

... because their qualified just like everyone else, prob did something major in their career to get them to that level. They just don't promote anyone cause of race :2 cents:

The last white chief was arrested because he was stealing money from the dept and a few months earlier one of the white cops on the force was busted for allowing people to get out of tickets by paying smaller amounts to him during the stop.

just to have a recognition for them that they have a higher position compare to their other staffs...just mho!!!

must be really tough to be the chief of police in Reykjavik:

"Ladies and getlmen, I'm gald to inform you that this month the crime in Iceland is down by 50%. Last month we had TWO old ladies crossing while the pedestrian light was red, this month - only one!!!!!!!"
