Buffalo Burgers
Just had one.. I don't know.. it was ok I guess. I think I felt a bit weird about it though, since it wasn't the usual cow/pig/chicken we're used to having.

For best results, a buffalo burger should have a portabella and some melted swiss on it.
Had a buffalo steak in Thailand years ago. It was twice the size of the plate!
Had a buffalo burger once at some upscale cafe at Foxwoods. Nothing to write home about.
I wasn't "impressed," but didn't mind it, either.
Tried Ostrich? I love it, it's like 97% fat free, and delicious if prepared correctly (read: do NOT overcook it). |
I'd never eat a buffalo burger, but I really like their wings.

As a kid growing up in the western end of Winnipeg known as St. James they always had the Buffalo Barbecue every summer. It was a small community fair with a parade, rides, games of skill, an open stage.... and buffalo burgers.
Damn those were good burgers. Cooked over an open flame, ahh I miss those days. |
I like Ostrich... Had it as Fajitas once, was fucking delicious.

Had one before and wasn't really impressed

I feel like having lunch...

Buffalo rocks! :thumbsup:thumbsup
Bison is a red meat that is about 70% leaner than your normal cow burger, 50% less cholesterol, 30% higher in protein with no known human allergies, and no problems with E-Coli in Buffalo. Its a sweeter meat, Lycanthrope is right about what goes best with one, but I find everything tastes better with Bison. Also if you want an excellent first impression with bison meat, find a Ted's Montana Grill by you. :thumbsup |
yummy... i love burgers... :winkwink:
I've had a buffalo burger before, it was good!
Yeah I've tried it before, but it was not that good! Have you tried ASKAL? That was great more than buffalo, turkey, ostrich or even kangaroo! hehehe
I found it better if it's mixed with about 30% normal hamburger to give it some fat and flavor.
love buffalo burgers...
I love buffalo burgers, they are delicious! :)
never ever had one :-(
if done right, the freaking rock.
buffalo burger? haven't heard it before... but it sounds yummy...
anyone ever had beefalo? When I lived in North Seattle, my friends up past Everett (north of Seattle about 30 miles) lived by a Beefalo farm. Haven't heard anything about them for a long time.

Its fucking red meat that lowers your cholesterol for fucks sake!:upsidedow:upsidedow Personally, I think it tastes better than normal beef, ground or filet's. Personal preference though.. You gotta be careful though... some resturaunts get bison meat from the same farms that cattle are raised on, and their pumped full of the same steroids and fed the same crap. Its not much much healthier that way. You need to get the "free range" or whatever beef from a grocery store. |
Also forgot.. one of the theories as to why Native Americans were always so healthy was because they lived mostly on Bison meat. No heart problems, no cancer, hardly any disease.
