Dealing with talent, the most difficult part?

A lot of the board seems to focus on technical aspects, which 'm sure are never-ending but isn't the most time-consuming and most challenging part of running a website dealing with models/performers?

k0nr4d 06-17-2007 10:41 PM

I dont shoot content, but from what I've heard they are frequently late, high, or don't show up at all. You also have to contend with guys who can't get or keep it up

boojeboy 06-17-2007 11:01 PM

yeah that's what I suspect k0nr4d...
you can make decent money using content you don't produce?

Sebastian Sands 06-17-2007 11:19 PM

Shooting is easy, getting the talent there, and getting guys that can keep it up or that don't pop to quick is the trick.

amacontent 06-17-2007 11:38 PM

Thats why I get the big bux and charge what I do.. for dealing with all the bullshit and still turning kick ass product.

Although not many people shoot content for their sites anymore ( they purchase movies from us ;-) , but if they do, the most difficult part is that models dont show up or dont show up on time.....

I'm strictly development for other companies. I don't do anything with content, traffic, or anything. I worked at a studio for a year though so I saw some of the stuff going down such as models no-showing and guys not being able to get it up.

I didn't particularly see anyone high at that studio though, I've just heard stories and seen some girls go from hot to crackwhore-look. But hey, I suppose if I was gonna get gangbanged by 10 guys i'd wanna be high too.

Anyhow, many people here make great money using both exclusive and non-exclusive content they didn't shoot themselves.

boojeboy 06-18-2007 07:21 AM

Since I'm wanting to do this as more of a second job,part-time thing I can't see myself hanging around all day waiting for some dude to show up

So people I guess can make money with non-exclusive content? Like a blog that points to other sites?

boojeboy 06-18-2007 07:25 AM

I was thinking about doing a niche gay site, I would think the exclusive nature of the content would be where the money is

So true...

:(

Those are all problems...You have to be looking for high quailty people if you don't want to deal with these issues or minimize them. Strippers are all know for being drug users.

Well said. It's companies that can deal with the hassle and still deliver on time and on budget that do well. Same thing in any business of course.
