My weight loss pics.
I told some friends on ICQ I'd post them, so here it goes.
These are of course the before pics: May 1 around 6 a.m. right before surgery: http://www.muckyou.com/wl/may1.jpg ---------------------- http://www.muckyou.com/wl/may1b.jpg Okay now these are after. Most of my weight loss has focused on my neck, face, and of course belly. The t-shirts I am wearing are the same size, and you'll notice how much longer the yellow one is now. I was wearing one of my favorite shirts last night while out playing poker, and at one time it was getting short on me. It now hangs down like a night gown, so I guess it's time to go shopping. June 16 http://www.muckyou.com/wl/june16a.jpg ----------------------- http://www.muckyou.com/wl/june16b.jpg I am down by my home scale from 325, to 280.4. But that's usually 3-4 pounds off from my doctor's scale. I am swimming every day, and do a lot of walking from casino to casino, or up and down Fremont St. when I play downtown. The amazing thing is I still have some cravings, but I can control them pretty much. The worst thing I have had for me since the surgery is 1 cupcake at my nieces birthday party. And I sacrificed lunch so I could eat that. I have been able to satisfy any sugar cravings with 1 fruit pop on occassion that is sweetened by splenda and is only 20 calories. I can't wait to post my pics when I lost 100 pounds. :) |
Keep on keeping on mate !!
Off to a great start ! ;-) |
Sounds like you are off and running. Way to go and I wish you a very happy, long and healthy life. Post some more pictures as this progresses :thumbsup
rock on man! keep posting pics and good luck.
That's a good start, eros. Add a weight lifting regimen into your habits and you will have more energy and be able to burn more calories at rest as you replace the fat you are losing with some muscle.
nice job!
Really. Stay off the artificial sweetners as much as you can.
Good for you man, little steps!
What kind of surgery? How did you change your diet? Did you cut out soda, beer, ect? |
you are doing good dude, keep it up :thumbsup
Man thats great ,I wish I had the bread I would do it.
stay focussed and you'll get there. Good luck man. I think I saw you on Fremont once.
Keep it up, looking good. Did you have the gastric bypass procedure done?
Looking good keep it up ...

So, I had to wake up and approve the lapband...the weight loss is slower, and requires a bit more willpower due to the fact that at times you're never 100% restricted on what you can eat. Like the first 6 weeks, the band gave me no restriction but I chose to follow the doctors diet plan for that period. During that period I lost most of my weight loss, and have read on message boards where some people actually gained weight. I can no longer have sodas, the carbonation will stretch out your "pouch." My diet consists of 4oz per meal, mainly protein with some vegetables and dairy thrown in. I also have to take vitamin supplements every day. Basically my day goes like this: Breakfast - 2 scrambled eggs, maybe some mozzerella cheese thrown on. Lunch - Chicken or tuna salad and I mean salad as in lettuce. Dinner - Steak, chicken breast or something similar. With a vegetable. Some days I'll change up and have some avocadoes, a baked potato, a yogurt etc. The key thing is 90% of the time I'm satisfied. Every now and then I will jones for something from the old days like a burger, or pizza. The other day I had a kids cheeseburger from McDonald's...no bun. Now when I used to eat at MickeyD's, I would order the double quarter pounder, large fry, and large shake..LOL. And now I'm eating this rinky dinky cheese burger. |
keep up the good work man! :thumbsup
Which card room do you like the best? |

I've been playing a lot downtown here recently due to the Binions Classic causing a lot of action. In the past I made my home at The Excalibur, and spent a lot of time at MGM, Mandalay Bay, Caesars and The Aladdin *now Planet Hollywood*. The MGM became a rock fest. Things are not good when you sit down and recognize 4-5 out of 9 faces. |
I applaud anyone who makes the difficult effort to lose excess weight. Keep at it, soon you'll be feeling like a million bucks.
Good work man.. Takes some major balls and will power to what you are doing so I give ya props...
Looks like a great start man. I'm glad to see you made the decision to live a healthier life. Keep up the good work. You'll be wearing muscle shirts in no time.

wow that good stuff, I'm working on this myself and have some notes I made:
Exercise: -Surf - Great calorie burner and chance to get out in the sun -Cycle ? indoors or out. At 13 mph, you could burn 600 calories an hour. -Jump rope. This is an excellent form of cardio that you can do anywhere. It will burn calories and tone your quads, hamstrings, and calves. -Go for a swim. by alternating strokes, you can target different muscles. -Play your favorite sports. Tennis - Basketball - Golf - Baseball/batting Cage It?s a whole lot more fun than sweating it out by yourself. And you will often be toning your whole body while burning calories. -Walk the Dog in the morning -Fix up the house -Gym at least three times a week ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eating: 1. Avoid dangerous situations. STOP driving by the doughnut shop on your way to work. When you go out to dinner, ask the waiter not to bring bread to your table. 2. Get a hobby. Start taking your dog on longer walks. Fix up your attic. By focusing on positive activities, you'll find yourself becoming more relaxed, happier, and thinner! 3. Curb mindless eating. Don't eat while standing up, and don't skip meals. Brush your teeth after every meal and snack. Food never seems as appealing when you have that toothpaste taste in your mouth. 4. Eat fruit daily 5. Take vitamins and herbs daily 6. Drink lots of water, v8, orange Juice 7. Lunch>> Subway sandwich daily, substitute with Sushi up to two times a week 8. Dinner>> Soup, Fruit, nuts, Salmon, Salmon or Hamburger patty, Chicken breast, |
chaze...good luck...I know how tough the road can be. The lap band is helping me stay on that path without wavering so much like I did in the past.
I recently went from about 240 pounds and 25% body fat to 180 pounds 13% body fat. Took over a year and a half so far and still a work in progress.
