My beef with 'some' content providers
Ok, so I've been surfing all last night just checking out what new shit content providers have to offer.
My question is.. what in the fucking world are some of these people thinking? I've seen tons of sites that look like they've been designed by a twelve year old yet they ask $10-30USD per minute of exlcusive video or $2-$3 per exclusive pic. The most annoying thing has to be the manual registration. They ask you your name email site (which is normal) but then they start asking you your address, phone number, cell phone, dog's name, cat's name and all this other pointless shit before seeing any of their content. And then after you fill up a hotmail size application form, you gotta wait till their lazy ass activates your account so you can PREVIEW their sets. In the end it turns out they have 20 sets with some ugly hoes. Don't get me wrong some content providers' sites are awesome..some straight forward and even with a small instant registration which is cool, but some content providers need to get their heads out of their asses. :321GFY |

I agree !!... many content providers are stuck in the year 1996....
A site like adultcontent.ca (im not affiliated in any way) is one of the few good ones, itīs just a shame there aint many like it.... |

I agree with most of what you are saying but the look of their site should not determine the price of their content. Maybe if they would charge more for their exclusive pics they could afford to hire a designer. |
By the way, Aaron M's content is the bomb. I highly recommend it.
Just my :2 cents: |
the worse is that some of them take forever to load.....

"but we must save the children, think of the childreennnnn!" yes... asking for a phone number will really keep kids out. maybe if they're so morally object to it all, they should quit exploiting young girls and stick to performing in the church band like a good honest christian. remember... a lot of the content providers are OLD and stuck in their way. OF COURSE asking for a phone number will keep kids out. it worked in the 1960's dang sarn it, and by gumption, it still works today! those that ask for a shitload of details before letting people even see sample thumbs can go fuck themselves. :321GFY |

Now, take your fucked up generalization about content providers and shove it straight up your ass. Gee, I hope we can still do business. :321GFY |
I hear you there.
My content shop is currently done entirely manually. This means I have to give people passwords myself to view the content. Since I run connected paysites, I can't let surfers get all that content. I am working on a more automated shop. When it is up and running, there will be a lot more samples available, and sets will be downloadable when you pay. It is a small shop, but I am hoping to make it as convenient as I can. So, what features do you want from a content site? |

i'm not referring to all content providers. that's why i edited. paulmarkham.com for example, what the fuck is that all about. some kind of paysite?
hey, wait i edited before your little outburst... lol :1orglaugh |

and I second that Aaron's content is fucking awesome... we've stolen almost everything he has..... (for the GFY senstivity police, fuck off, I was joking) |
Aaron, your site is very well done and I"m not trying to make this a generalization that ALL content providers do this, because they don't. There are just some who don't have at least a decent, error free site and this manual activation of the login has to be the most annonying thing ever or better yet having them to email then to get a password.
I hope if you are a content provider whos site is like this and reads this, please look around at the internet and see how the mainstream store do business (look even at adult dvd retailers) .. registration happens when you wanna purchase or maybe see previews (that might burn your bandwidth). TGPs and paysites get away with a text page as a warning, so why shouldn't content providers? And about the bandwidth.. give me a break.. bandwidth is very cheap nowadays.. those thumbnails are not going to make a hole in your pockets.. who knows you might sell more this way. |
The demo i give webmasters is a fully functional streaming setup, they can check out all the movies, how it is set up, the security and whatn not. Having someone gain access to it by just signing could become quite a problem after the first little while.

I just download my content from Thehun...there itīs not password protected, and there is so much to choose from!!
This was a JOKE!! |

The new Ounique website does ask that you sign up for an account before you can view the content. It only asks for a few general bits of info, no dog's name, no grandmother's favorite soup, no questions about if you've ever owned sea monkeys or not. It's a simple little device to ensure security over age issues and to keep surfers from diddling away on our samples rather then spending their cash on your paysites. We do it for you and do not mean for it to be a inconvenience to anyone. :)

Thanks for the comment. We worked really hard on our site...hehe ;) I know we got extensive registration process but it's the only way we could protected from surfer since we give video previews of all the content on our site. All once it's done, you'll never have to fill any info for your shopping cart again :) |
I agree that all the bullshit registrations before seeing what is offered inside the site sux. Bandwith is not that expensive. If the webmaster sees something he likes, he will then signup to buy your content.
just my :2 cents: |
There is worse.
I once went through all that you mentioned, just to look at the previews - of a Brazilian shemale provider, BTW. Then I placed an order. Then, was I told that, to complete the order, I had to fax a signed copy of my passport and credit card to someone in Australia, then wait "a few days" till the CD would get from Australia to me in Brazil (no online downloading).:disgust OTOH, I have nothing but praisals for Ounique. Good quality, reasonable prices, very good service. Keep up, Don:thumbsup |

I agree unless you offer video preview of all your stuff and have adult & content as main keyword in search engine :winkwink: |

And webmaster validation is important to keep out surfers. How many sales would we lose if people got to surf the Matrix thumbs and movie previews for free, for example? :winkwink: |
I couldn't agree more.
|
I don't mind the bandwidth. I demand a password so that I am not giving away all of the content for free to viewers. What value would my photos have to *you* if people could come to my content site and see them all for free?

check out photorama.nl
their site is old, they don't ask for your info in stead of that their content is amazing~! contact: icq 108483386 ( DennisK ) No bullshit, just quality content |
