Google Keywords, anyone try ?
 

I tried them a few months back, I did so/so.

Has anyone had any luck with this ?
Just wondering...

You mean Googles 'adwords' or whatever? The little boxes on the right side of the screen?

I've never tried them.. but I haven't heard good things about them..

Sex.com or Overture, I have no clue. Never tried..

I don't think that helps any.. but I hate to see posts go unanswered...

I've had average results, nothing spectacular. Made the money back though, but it could have been spent much better.

They suck.

I tried it and you have no control over the cost per click. It charged me something like $.13 cent per click on the search term mature women. It wasn't worth it.

Sex.com I don't get a good turn around from them. You get lots of hits but the conversions are bad. Not worth it.

Overture They cost too much! Too many people fighting over the top spot. But, when you get a keyword that is undercontrol the hit convet like crazy.

You just have to try and see what works for you.

you do have control over cost per click.. just it's the same CPC for all your keywords, not individually like overture.. i haven't found adwords to be much good.. you REALLY have to play with your keywords.. there are many other types of traffic i'd rather have.. plus i'd take search123 over overture any day of the week.. overture need to be skull-fucked with their incredibly user unfriendly system.. can't bid on half the keywords you want, can't bid on some key words because they've put a ceiling on porn-related terms and even though term "x" might get 500 searches or whatever, because it's not already in their system with people bidding for it you can't have it.. overstrict.. lazy.. semi-incompetent fucks.. search123 is smaller but it takes about 30 seconds to be up and running - no hassles.. and even though it's smaller you end up with the same or more traffic because you get all your keywords.. no wonder overtures stock price is shit.. they've forgotten who makes them money.

Totally sucks for me when I try it the first week it goes online. I don't know now...

I'm paying on average $1.25 per click for sports related terms and profiting greatly.

Maybe it's time to look at a different business if you can't make money on $.13 cent a click traffic

I tried it when it was pay per impression. and that was a pain in the ass to pay my cc bill. 20234 impressions and 70 clicks. Fuck Google ADword.

If you try all the common words, you wont make shit.
Find a Combo of words you want to promote, or something unique to your site. Then the will all do well for you.

If you want to spend a lot of money get a lot of hits and no signups, promote

they all suck i tried about 6 different programs
