All the shit that people write about him, I am telling you, and I hope you know I don't lie, he's a trooper! I wish that all my fighters would be like him. Even my wife loves the guy. He is SO respectful and uses NO bad language in front of kids (my two little daughters love him, and they don't like anybody!), I am REALLY, blown away.

He really deserves this, I think this. Can a boxer be a MMA FIGHTER? We all know the answer, but can a street fighter be an MMA fighter? We all KNOW the answer to that!

I would wish that all my fighters were like him, like I said, I can put him through every workout I give him, he WILL do it, no questions asked.

I hope you guys meet Kimbo one day, you will be blown away. I just came back from an MMA event and I brought him there, just see how he is with the fans, it's crazy!

You also know that I would NEVER train an asshole, so trust me, but he's got me, Shawn Tompkins (who trained him longer than I have,) and Randy Kathami (boxing coach for my gym) respect. I REALLY love the guy.

i met kimbo (quiet but nice guy) and train with bas before, bas work out is no JOKE!!! bas did a commerical for me on fitness systems (custom frame system for kicking & punching bags) i look forward to the kimbo vs mercer fight, hope kimbo knocks him the da fuck out!!!

Ken Lawson mentioned last week Bas was training Kimbo on gfy.

Bas Rutten is the fucking man. I'd give my left nut to train with that guy. He is so innovative and explosive. Not to mention flat out entertaining. I loved watching him fight and announce. If Bas is training Kimbo then look for a very deadly fighter in the future.

Bas has a great style that wouldn't hold itself into today's MMA I think.

But from what I read, Kimbo has been training with the best lately.

Kimbo left our gym yesterday....looking in the best shape of his life after training with Bas, Shawn Thompkins and the rest of the team for the last few weeks. Can't wait for the fight. Will be sitting ringside :thumbsup

I was watching some of his training, and he really takes to the ground well. Kimbo's ground and pound will be something I want to see!

I wish I could make it but it doesn't look like I'll be on that coast as early as I thought. I'll be rooting for him though.

And one important note in Bas' post which I'm sure is the opposite of what many perceive; Kimbo is truly a nice, respectful, quiet guy. Looks can be deceiving...

I hope Kimbo loses, I placed a $300 bet with Anthony, lol

Wow, there's a LOT of excitement around this fight.

I think we are witnessing the moment when MMA gets more important than Boxing.

I like Kimbo... and I definitely think Bas is "da man!"

I had a pretty low opinion of Kimbo before this, but if Bas says he is dedicated to going from thug to MMA then there must be something to it.

The Bas training video on youtube is hilarious, but the guy means business.
