Danza is right again you are idiots

remember a while ago when people were trying to argue with me that a tazer is better than a handgun? hahahahahahahahahah idiots... I saw a woman yesterday that was 5'6 get tazered 3 times from 3 different officers and you know what happend? NOTHING she pulled em out like they were going out of style... but what did stop the threat? the HANDGUN did

so if you think a tazer is more effective than a handgun I say to you your an IDIOT.. you carry your tazer to your gunfight I will keep my HK right with me

http://www.lvrj.com/news/7972477.html

so now where are the tazer lovers now?

DirtyDanza 06-13-2007 11:58 AM

I just like this quote

"At around 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds, the woman brandishing a knife on Martin Luther King Boulevard didn't appear invincible.

But Las Vegas police couldn't stop her Tuesday morning with multiple shots from a bean bag shotgun, three 50,000-volt shocks from a Taser and pepper spray.

Police wound up putting two bullets into her, and she later died at a local hospital."

like I have always said you can sit and play with a bad guy or you can stop the threat quick...

notabook 06-13-2007 12:04 PM

Sounds like they were the worst shots in history. Hit her multiple times with a beanbag shotgun? Multiple times with a tazer? Surrrrre they did. They probably missed every time and got scared of a 5 foot 6 inch woman that they pulled out a handgun and nervously fired, hoping to hit the broadside of a barn. :1orglaugh

jhauser 06-13-2007 12:08 PM

I saw this huge MOFO get tazed on the streets of DC and he screamed like a little school girl. The threat of being tazed sold me on the spot.

This case sounds like officers who were not properly trained to use tazers. It's fairly simple to teach someone how to use a handgun. It takes a bit more effort to teach the ends and outs of a tazer.

While I agree with the gist of the post, that was ironic for sure.

Lol, that's classic, if I hadn't of seen the poster I would have sworn that came from Sleazy.

shermo 06-13-2007 12:14 PM

Maybe, but I don't plan on getting in any gun fights...And if I do, it's in my house and on my playing field. You'd never see me using a stun gun if somebody entered my home without me opening the door.

StuBradley 06-13-2007 12:15 PM

Dude, you live on Martin Luther King Blvd??? :Oh crap

Jimmy Rock 06-13-2007 12:16 PM

Hmm so they had to shoot her dead with a gun, while she was (Brandashing a knife) sounds pretty pussy to me

i dont think anyone would argue a tazer is better than a handgun , its about using what is necessary for the situation .

seems like they progressed from bean bags to tazer to handgun . this seems like a smart approach . it would be silly to "start" with a handgun and injure innocent bystanders.

Tazers aren't always perfect. Depending on where they hit you they may not work correctly. many have a high failure rate as well.

We had several at a party once and people were letting themselves get tazer'd but i was too pussy to try it. It's certainly possible to pull them out, just not everyone can do it.

I've seen a tazer demo in college and it dropped a large football player to his knees in tears. I don't think this is a sign that tazers are bad, but this woman is clearly a robot.

Oh this scenerio I'm speaking involved a guy with a bat who was clearly on goof balls downtown DC causing a scene. I'm sure they threw in a little extra juice for good measure :upsidedow

I saw an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger where he roundhouse kicked the knife out of someone's hand. While the guy looked at his hand shocked, he reversed his roundhouse kick to the face and knocked him out cold. This would have been the best solution.

Chuck Norris doesn't need a tazer. He shocks people just by looking at them.

If the handgun fails, you call in Walker, Texas Ranger . . . but not until then. He is a last resort measure.

ADL Josh 06-13-2007 12:53 PM

a friend of mine is a cop in southern florida and i let him taze me a few weekends ago. it's incredibly painful, but it didn't take me down..i was a little drunk so that was kind of my excuse for being able to take it. i'm sure this lady was on all kinds of shit when she was being hit. it's definitely a painful thing to go through but different people can handle different types of pain.

shermo 06-13-2007 12:58 PM

Danza...WHile you're here, can you pls shoot me an ICQ? Thanks :)

fuzebox 06-13-2007 01:12 PM

The article says the chick was high though... Less-lethal weapons only really work against sober people with fully functioning pain receptors.

Danza is a pure white trash gun freak who walks around with a gun everywhere he goes hoping someone starts a fight with him. Low iq, raised bad and most likely a shitty youth. Trailer trash.

Fuck... not even then. After the combat shotgun, high powered rifle, and rpg fails, THEN call in the Ranger.

The Tazer's main function is not to cause pain (that is more of the likes of a stungun or the beanbag shotgun, or pepper spray) but rather to cause severe muscle impairment. Of course there is a large amount of pain that comes with it, but the pain is a secondary effect when the tazer is used. Most of the PI/commercial-grade tazers have dual functions where they can act like a stungun as well as a tazer (that is, they can be used to cause great pain rather than muscle impairment? used a lot in crowd control situations).

RawAlex 06-13-2007 01:44 PM

Danza, under the right circumstances (say, enough drugs or a serious mental condition) nothing short of lethal force will stop some people. You read the list of things that the police used in the "less than lethal" category, and pretty much any one of those would reduce most of us to shivering little piles of goo on the sidewalk. That it took two bullets to get her stopped isn't a terstimony to how bad tasers are, but how totally beyond fucked up this girl must have been.

My suggestion for you? Ask your local police to give you a sample of their tasers next time they are doing recruit testing. Make sure there is a paramedic nearby.

PunkRockXXX 06-13-2007 02:10 PM

yer still an idiot

police misuse tazers all the time and they kill people

they are supposed to use tazers as "non legal" weapons

nah ive been hit and it's not something I want to go through on a daily .. takes me down usually. just like a little girl.. squirming and shit... . now stun guns are a different story those you can take with repetetive training. all I am saying is.. for personal defence people try to argue that tazer is better than handgun which I strongly disagree because of situations like this. you never know...

A tazer is pretty much always better than a handgun because you are less likely to end up in jail on a manslaughter charge. "justifiable force" is a judgement call , and what looks appropriate when you are in the deal might not seem so good when you are in court in front of 12 morons who couldn't figure out how to avoid jury duty.

Saving my life to waste it in jail doesn't sound like a very good choice.

The thing with using force with a tazer in relation to being a police officer is that if an officers pulls out a gun and gives the strong suggestion to freeze most people know they aren't going to pull the trigger however if there suggesting you freeze and they have their tazer out one can bet they gonna use it and that's "justfiable."

I personally think that both are needed... but a Tazer does the job 95 % of the time

"Police fired a bean bag shotgun at her eight times, hitting her at least three times, Brown said."

How the fuck do you miss a woman standing right in front of you with a 12 gauge shotgun?

Reminds me of that video where those idiots accidentally shot and killed their own police dog.
