That's a great fucking song and the video is even better. I didn't grow up poor and disenfranchised but my wife did and it seems that's a pretty accurate depiction of a shitty childhood and bad parents.

true but I'm a fan of hiphop in general, not really of him, and I would put him in the top 4 MC's of all time lyrically wise,record sales have nothing to do with it...Which is saying a lot when the pressure of a whole race is on him(yeah if he failed us white people would be ashamed)..but he's breaking barriers and dominating the music industry... Not too many battle MC's can develope themselves into studio musicians...True genius if you ask me
